Thats a lovely aqir gun. How much did that set u back if u dont mind me asking. Im looking for a new gun, this may be the one lol

£300 well spent in my mind. Not the best/most powerful on the market but is very good! Light and very quiet but still powerful plus looks good.
Passes the 'crank pulley test' on the majority of hondas apart from the diesels there super tight!

Jesus! Take it you use your tools lot? If I get a stuck bolt I get the scaffold pole out.

Haha it is a lot of money but im a honda mechanic by trade so i get my moneys worth!

In that case makes sense. Can't be seen to use scaffold poles on customers Hondas lol

Funny you should say that but the 'scaff bar' reguarly comes out for the extra tight crank pulleys and a few other things.
Im only a new user to the forum but it always surprises me thats theres never many threads about workshop tools seing as though most of the members work on there own cars. You no what they say "a craftsman is only as good as his tools"

Yeah your right. I've been on the forums a good few years and don't see many tools threads.

:nice:
Im planning a gearbox build soon and ive been told the counter shaft nut is pretty damn tight so gun or big bar might be in order soon :p

If its anything like the Astra boxes it will come off easy enough. I've got a gypsy way to do it with a torque wrench

Smack the ratchet handle with the hammer? I've got one I've done befor. I had to undo the wheel nuts on a flat bed truck. And the gun wouldn't shift it nor would a massive pole with me bouncing on it. So what I did was rest the bar on a trolley jack and slowly jacked the bar up to loosen the nuts! I was surprised it worked but it did.

cool air gun buddy, does it really undoo B series crank pullies. I normay have to get out the 3/4 inch air gun!
Dunx

How much air does that require, I keep buying DA sanders etc. and though they should work on paper continuously with my compressor, in real life they are rubbish.

Yea i did my cambelt the other day on my b16a2 and it buzzed it out easy!

if your not careful it will snap bolts if you over tighten them! Some of these half inch air guns there making these days are so powerful! A lad a works got a snap on one which was about £450 new :/ the thing sounds like an f1 car when you use it!

Working pressure is 90 t0 120 psi. I suppose its how good the compressor is aswel. The one at work is obviously pretty good. The one ive got at home runs the gun but it drains the tank of air realy quickly.

My gun cost about that couple years back,it used to undo most things but now its limit on power as the new compressor at work is lower on psi line pressure,so it more bar out time
