Will an axel back exhaust from ek9 bolt strate onto ej9 1.4 or are the flange diff sizes?

.......

Yes will fit. Ek9 back box piping is 2" as is every Honda back box. 2.5" is a myth.

The only thing 2.5" is the donut gasket on the jdm manifolds. Rest if all jdm systems from manifold back are 60-57mm piping.

so i am defo safe to buy the axel back and it bolt on at the axel with the ej9 piping even tho it a ek9 backbox?

Ok after a bit of googling and looking on here I'd say its a no go its a shame cause it was an apexi and it was brand new in box and he was letting it go for €60 only! :(

Dont see any reason why It won't fit. Considering I have a DC2 back box bolted to my std LSi system on my EJ2. All standard EJ2 bolts and gaskets used.

The donut gasket from normal non vtec center section is the same 51mm/2" as on a type R back box joint. The Flange's on civic/integra back boxes are almost all the same size. 2.25" external of the gasket and 2" internal. All these 2.5" story's are just myths. As I said the only thing 2.5" on any Civic/Integra exhaust is the donut gasket outside diameter on JDM Type R's. Rest of the system piping is 60-57mm and even tapers down to about 54mm in the flange joints. (Also JDM cat exit joint is only 54mm)

The piping on an EK9 back box is only 2". Why would It not fit.
