Did a trackday today.
As i got into it and started braking harder and later the front wheels or wheel(not sure which) just lock up and won't release.
Basically I push hard on the brake pedal and the brakes lock(way to easily for my liking) and there is no releasing them until the car has come to a stop.(the 2nd time it happened I pulled my foot off the brakes completely and it didn't release.

I pulled the of the abs fuses and it seemed much better but not great.
To give you an idea the car is flat spotting a048's with just a pad upgrade.
So something isn't right.
Can anyone help?

Edit: further inspection (flat spot and one tyre mark on the track) would seem that its only one wheel that's locking. Happens to be the inside wheel but I was braking in a straight line most of the day. Would this mean that it could be a sponsor that's fudged on that wheel?
Just abit weird that the abs is forcing the brakes on.

ABS releases the brakes to keep them moving, it won't do this.

Sounds like you've got a sticky caliper TBH.

Nice one guys.
Was really hampering my day tbh.
Brakes have always been my weak spot on track anyway. Way to early and not hard enough(sums my life up really) lol
Will sort all calipers out in the next few weeks.

No help but you were going well today mate! :)

Thanks mate you too. Got you on film:)
You must have burned some fuel today! When ever I looked on track you where there chasing your friend in his 350 lol

i have a set of calipers for 110 delivered

I'll replace both I think. Don't really want this happening again, really ruined progress.

Vti2010- I'll probably refurb mine, depending on the state of them.

I did use a ton of fuel!
Engine is too slow for the car, I just feel like I'm abusing it everywhere! Did a fair few laps that did, span it after the snow also!
Bung the video up here or start a thread or send me it :)

Cheers!

Will do mate, I was having 4th gear issues in the vid so you'll hear Afew bad crunches and missed gears. But got all 3 of us in it.

Me and Matt span in the snow aswell lol

Okay guys. Had the front calipers apart today hoping to find some pitting or rust like build up.
I found none of this and they looked pretty good to me.
What do you think?

This is how they looked straight after dis-assembly.
Is this normal? I lightly sanded each surface before fitting back together anyway.
Cleaned the sliders off with sandpaper and greased them up. They now slide freely.

If it isn't the caliper that's causing this what else could it be?
I've got new brake hoses coming so I can eliminate them also.

Glad I wasnt the only one to spin, car was pretty muddy after though

Hope you get your calipers sorted Jesse was really hoping it would be something obvious might have just been enough with a little bit of dirt in those sliders.

Anyone have an idea?
Kozy? Lol

Any clever people out there? Never heard of this problem before and search brings up nothing.

I bleed them before I went and changed the fluid.
Got ate blue in there ATM.
Will double check I get all the bubbles out when I fit new discs and pads.

If its only one wheel , its the round square sectioned seal in the caliper. That seal is the only thing to control the return movement of the piston.
