new user from glasgow

the names craig and im from glasgow.

gonna jump straight in with my first question...

got a civic ej9 1.4 sport and im looking to do an engine convertion asap!
got a b16, b18 or k20 in mind just wanna get a rough idea of what would be best and how much its gonna cost me roughly??

any help and advice would be much appreciated :D

welcome to eknine mate, where bouts in glasgow you based there are a few of us on here :D

A b16b or b18c swap is your best bet and if you aint got the resources and that to do it yourself then you should give Jerry at performancetech a shout. He aint the cheapest but he's in glasgow and the work is all done to 100%

A k20 swap will cost you anywhere between 5-8k so very pricey !

B16/18 is alot cheaper there are guys on the forum that will take a few hundred pounds to do it plus between about 1-2k for a b16 or 18.

as gavin said there is quite a few of us from glasgow, so you shouldnt be too long meeting sum of us, you will probs recognize a yellow trend of hondas in glasgow lol

im based in uddingston area :)

im looking to get the swap done pretty asap, the civic was ment to go in for a full respray this weekend but i cancelled it a few eeeks back cause i thought it'd be wiser to get the swap done first and get the respray done over winter when its off the road :D
how much do think it would cost me all in for the swap including the block + box + wiring loom/ecu etc?

any of you guys ever out in glasgow at weekends in the cars?

ah thats who you are lol seen you last weekend in town mate i drove past you in my yellow 9 you gave me a nod, was heading to braehead for a hondatech meet done a quick lap to try and see if you wanted to jump down but couldnt find you haha :D
 
haha yeah that's me :) I was in the lane to go straihr sown to head onto the m8 wish I came n looked for you now, haven't been to a meet or spoke to many people that own civics :( well I've spoke to few people and they where complete twats because I don't have a proper ek9 :( that's why I decided to join the forum see what the script is with the boys in Glasgow, you out next weekend in the 9?
 
ahhh i have seen u a few times in it, mostly in town, i used to have a ej in arctic white with red rotas, i rebuilt it is a project but never got round to doing the engine :( we used to be out a lot in town, but recently havent been out a huge amount, but me and a few friends are always out sat night, either out in the evo or the jordan, (will take u a spin soon gavin :) ) yeh theres a lot of us with jordans, and a lot of ek9s now but everyone seems to get along well and the banter is usually class, gavin is organising a night out so u should come to that mate :nice:
 
Yeah would deffo be up for that mate, I think I seen your eg abt :) I need to get to know lads that love civics non of my mates like them and my dad is sick me talking bout the plans for civic lol I'll be out next weekend so hopefully a few of you's will be out :)
Where abts in Glasgow you from mate?

Yeah that's Martin, that thing is scary fast got a gruppe m induction sounds and go amazing!

id be aswell to but nah aha, i work there and lots of my friends from school live there
 
yeah were a jolly bunch of chaps haha, well if i aint sold the 9 by next weekend i'll bounce out, oem wheels and exhaust will be back on by then so mine and martains will be twins lol

Goin out for a piss up on friday the 17th man should jump out put names to faces and **** should be a good night :nice:
 
hi there welcome along to the site , I just live down the road from you in Motherwell , saw the car maybe a month back headin down the M8 I was in the white ek9 then you cut off towards Coatbridge I think . canny mind if I had my carbon binnet then .
