Nicole's turbo black ek9

Cheers fellas :) pretty happy with its progress and how straight forward its been! it's lovely working on a car that isnt rusty and everything seized all over. I'd love to say I was doing this all alone but I've got some great mates who are happy to help when I get stuck. The thing I really struggle with is being strong enough to do everything I want to, so I need a hand with things like removing stubborn ball joints that REFUSE to budge lol

I've never worked on a Honda before so it's quite daunting. Can take a saxo apart and put it back together no bother but I wanted to label everything and put things together now as by the time this gets put back together, I'll probably have forgotten where stuff goes! It's probably the woman in me wanting everything organised tbh haha

How come you took the engine loom off the block instead of taking it out of the footwell from the ECU side?? It's so easy just to I clip it from the ECU

Habit I guess, just unplugging the loom and leaving it ready to plug back in. Although now I'm thinking about having the bay resprayed while everythings out, so I'm not sure whether to just remove everything lol

You have no fear. Wish I had the skillz or the balls (lol pun not intended) to set about my own car.

It's scary lol, I keep looking at it like oh god what have I done, and thinking what if it never runs again or I change my mind haha
:nerv:

I have the same engine crane!

Very organised. I use a sorting tray, which is great until I kick it over. I ALWAYS kick it over.

I will share the same fears when I do mine! In fact I already do, my biggest worry is if it will work and not blow up! :nerv: I've been swatting up on how to do everything properly :blinx:

Me too!
Between us we should be able to build a decent engine, just share things we've found etc.

Haha good to know we're not alone ;) Aye hopefully! I just need to find a cheap run about so I can take mine off the road & start the work!

That ok. You can get a box for one of them in pick a part for £35.
Sorted and back out again lol

Saxo could use some negative camber.
;-)

I got beaten by a Saxo at my Donington race - that was embarrasing. It was doing 1:22 laps!!

You ever experienced a plate LSD? Will change your world forever!

What track is that? Looks good fun.

EDIT: Used my eyes to read, Teesside Autodrome Circuit?

I believe so mate.
A friend of mine goes round there all the time, says it's like £30 for a whole evening, Im used to paying near £130 for an evening.

Hahaha well what do you want to know? ;)

Gutted about the Saxo haha!! Bang another box in it and problem solved :D

Saxo *should* be an easy fix tbh :) pop the plate off that 5ths hiding behind, fish everything out the bottom and put all back together and tighten the nut. Just annoying as hell. it was crunching on track but its not doing it now so will just keep using this one till it dies. dont really wanna buy another if i can sort this, they've all had death and are f*cked these days!
reeally expensive to get camber on the back of a saxo! I wish!

Yup Teeside! Awesome fun for a few hours on a monday night for £35. Looking at my vids, the 9 was 2 seconds quicker but I didnt get to drive the saxo properly before 5th ran away :( lol

Is it a high comp build? I see you have lots of tasty parts :)

Well, depends how "high" high comp is really haha. It'll be 12:1 if not just over once the heads skimmed. Yep parts everywhere! I've spent so much money, got some bargains on the way though! Just got my cams and everything delivered today ;)
