Nicole's turbo black ek9

I'd check injectors to make sure they're the right ones.

I was running a d14 for a few months as the seller told me they were out of a itr. Even having one out made the afr drop a fair bit.

Thankyou, likewise, some seriously lush cars you have :D It's lovely hearing people say its nice in person too, I know sometimes cars can look world apart in photos :)

thank you :) yeh the teg box seems a lot better!

Thank you :))

Any updates on your nine? hope you got her sorted?

Did Will not give you some ideas on the issue? I've got a graph of mine standard and that was 136whp iirc. So your not a huge way off where mine was like 4 years ago.
AFR drops like a stone after 6500, like you say that's what's robbing your power.
I don't think there's an actual engine issue, I think it's likely to be sensor or something.
Have you checked that you've actually got a stock ecu?

He suggested possibly aftermarket ECU or fuel pump, but it was dyno'd at 180bhp last June and I know they havent been changed in between.
I'm hoping it's probably a sensor or similar too tbh

I would start by giving it a bit of a health check,

Check compression
Check throttle body is clean including hole for map sensor
Check plug gaps/replace plugs
Check condition of dizzy cap and arm
Check/clean engine earths
Have the injectors flow rates tested or replace them

Thanks for the suggestions everyone :)
Cleaned out my tb and map sensor, were pretty gunky and it does seem a bit better but nothing major.

I'll be overhauling and replacing most of the engine and supporting bits over the winter so hopefully it'll fix it self somewhere down the line!
Got the first part last week, thanks Ian :D

decided to sell on my Japfest2 tracktime as it felt a bit of a waste now I know the cars so low on power and Donningtons not the best for slow cars as it is. I'd have probably spent the whole time miserable, and I dont really know whats up with it, so minimal abuse atm.

Although I did go to a local track, Teesside on Monday night. £35 for 3 hours so I couldnt refuse. It's mainly a go kart track and used for drifting but I still had a lot of fun! the car was griefing some quicker cars even with only 115whp haha

And thats it! 2 and a half weeks time she's off the road for the winter! saxos coming back out and the 9 will be in pieces before you know it :D

car seems handling itself pretty amazing Nicole!

Have you done a compression test to engine? I would check cam timing! Also check your distributor timing. Most near stock B series engines running the stock Ecu tend to run rich at high rpm's.

My friend has owned and tracked a few nice jap cars. She also does a bit of promo modelling. When she joined the RX7 club none of them believed she existed.
It was pretty hilarious.

That said she span my vx220 on Angelsey circuit and scared the fook out of me.

But yeah... girls on track (and this is going to sound dull, but girls in engineering) is ftw for sure.

+ You look properly on top of car maintenance etc Nicole. Props to you.

Nice drivin car seems to handle very well ut is it just me or are u changin gear a bit early? or u tryin to spare the engine seen as its not runnin right ^^^ and id say vtec6000 is dead on he changed my distributor timin an made a massive difference :)

Such a nice 9, shame about the power issue. Hope you get it sorted! Looks brilliant on track too. I saw you going round at JapFest.

Nice on the S300, just got mine delivered too ;)

@king_sir, I've given it enough limiter bashing for one year I think haha
