Nicole's turbo black ek9

no words ma'am.....................................................

fixed. car is super clean.

On another note i would have done the rear mount first as its the most awkward. usually have to jack the rear of the engine slightly to get the room to get the bloody mount out. (trust me you will be cursing it by the time you have it out! lol)

Just stunning, I love this nine :nice:

If I knew you come down to Yorkshire dales, I could have met up for a photo shoot with my EF9 siR or EG9 siR

Looked good at combe, I was track side gurning my tits off because I need to get out there again but my fireball is too loud!

Some decent photos there nicole. The first of the stylecase photos is lovely. Car looks like new haha. Dont see many dc5's in silver either. Nice :)

this ek9 is pure ''LOVE'' hats off to ya!! i did notice you going around the track at japfest looked awsome :)

theres a meet in leeds on Sunday that a few people are going to i think! should get yourself down! :)

cheers guys :)

I've got all my engine mounts on, valve clearances have been done and car feels spot on now. I'm absolutely loving it as it just doesnt feel like it needs anything at all atm <3
A bit more power would be lovely, but how it feels to drive is great. still has a skittish back end but I'm just learning to drive it that way haha

Thought I'd help her out a bit and stripped the majority out the rear just for the next few weeks as I have a few track days - weighs in at 1040kg, was hoping for sub 1k but that's not too bad I guess!

Teeside track evening next Tuesday and Hondas on Track at croft on the Friday :D

pretty damn cool there chick!

You have white wheels on the public roads? Had white Enkei's on my black EG. Best color combination I have ever had for wheels.

Also, imho the word "clean" is used so often that it doesn't hold much meaning anymore. But your 9 is the definition of clean. Not only the outside.

Looking great, pics from Caldwell look fantastic,

About the twitchy rear end,
What rear trailing arm bushes do you have?
When I first had my siR it had energy suspension poly bushes in the trailing arms which made the rear twitchy,

You were at the limiter with a fair amount of lock on. Also pretty close to the inside doesn't help.
I've done pretty much the same thing countless times at brands, sertees (corners name) is pretty much the same angle and up around the limiter in 4th.
I usually lose the rear on entry though lol
Next time stay in the next gear up, get your line sorted and then keep the throttle pinned until the cars straight. the front pulling will keep the back straight. Promise.

From the videos the car doesn't come across to rear happy, perhaps it's getting used to a different drive/technique.
The ek9 I've just bought was very lively at the rear, I was going to blame the hardrace rta(like the post above) but I decided to pull the rear camber back abit. Was 2.5degrees, Now around 2. From the trackday I did today it was pretty good. Had good turn on the brakes and wasn't trying to step out all the time like it was.

Its all standard apart from the coilovers :) I think I'm getting used to the twitch now tbh, just seems a characteristic of the car and I guess I'm still just learning to drive it properly!

Thats interesting, I have a lot of camber on the rear, think it's over 2.5deg! Definitely something to look at in the future for me i think!

Was at Cadwell last weekend in another car, and went out in two others and think I've sussed what I need to be doing with the 9 in that corner now, so hopefully no more spins! Doubt I'll be back this year in the 9 though, probably take the saxo during the winter :) I'd love to try brands, wish it wasnt so expensive!

thankyou :D

Yup, white wheels are my everyday wheels! I'm a bit of an oem lover :)
Such a lovely comment about it being clean, means a lot!

Skipped Teeside on 1st July, had heatstroke and was stupidly sick all night before it, went out to change my wheels over the next morning (in the sun erghhh) and was sick again so decided not to risk it with Croft 4 days later. Re-booked for 11th August though so we'll see how that goes!

Recovered for Croft with Hondas on Track. Was actually really dreading this as I feel a bit of slow newbie compared to the majority of people booked on. Really enjoyed the day! Track was nice and quiet which suited me when I was trying to find my way round for the first time.

Some footage, I wish my car was more exciting to watch haha. Was getting to grips with it finally then shortly after it p*ssed it down after this so I called it a day and went home -

Decided I'm going to book on 29th August and go back and spend a bit more time there :) last track time of the year before she comes off the road in September!

Thanks for sharing

Sounds great, you might benefit from rev matching / heel-toe breaking.
Should keep the car a little more balanced rather than having a normal downchange and the engine jerking about as the revs shoot up.

Just an observation.

(I must book Abingdon!!)

I do heel toe and rev match... :run:

Love this thread so rare to see a bird that has a genuine interest in cars let alone takes it too the track and looks after the car fair play
