NIPPON/RIKEN piston rings - places to buy please!!!

Hi,

As above, wheres a trustworthy place to by Nippon (npr) or RIKEN piston rings for b16a2

I just went to purchase them from H tune but they are closed for a month until the 15th of Oct....and I want to have my engine in a and running by then...

I have already bought a few bits of you derek for this rebuild....i have just been primarily searching for npr and riken as i know they are manufacturers of oem products and are half the price. So i havnt been able to bring myself to get oem just yet....

However my times a bit short atm. So unless i can find another supplier soon. I will be ordering a set from you along with a bottkm end gasket set.

Just unlucky h tune are shut...but meh cant help these things.

I can get you a set of OEM rings for £299.96 delivered by Friday if ordered today
 
Appreciate the offer boyle but simauto sells them for 29.99 per piston. So 120 for a set.
 
Ended up buying RIKEN rings from jap service parts.....delivered today. So im happy :)
 
If you are still at stock bore size then you need to check they're not out of round. If they are, you'll lose ring seal and they may not seat properly. It's like putting a circle inside a oval.
 
Do you mean the rings or the bores being out of shape... I will get the machine shop to check both anyway before assembly. Bores will be getting a hone..
 
The bores, the rings will be fine. They distort over time. If they're out of round then a light hone won't fix it. You'll have to go the next piston size up if you want to do thing's properly.
