Nurburgring in U.K - Chances??

Would be incredible. We are blessed in this country already though. I cant think of any other place in the world that have this many premium tracks in such a small area. We really are sooo damn lucky here in the UK.

You can try but I suggest you put it out of your mind after that ;) Do you know what a normal track costs to build and maintain? Let alone a 21km track in the mountains!! Would be insane to do this in these economic times.

the nurburgring was a road, how many roads are there in the U.K that we can simply Close off and make into a toll road, remember its a closed circuit so there would have to be bridges made etc etc.... also how many of which would actually be sutable to race car's on... u.k roads are notoriously porr compared to on the continent..

I'm all for it mate, but i cannot see it happening this side of 2060....sorry man, just being realistic.... and along the lines of what JT says, we need political reform before we need a ring in the U.K..

The chances of this are so far south of zero it is unreal.

Nice pipe dream though.

Topher, that's not entirely correct; there were races on public roads before the Nurburgring was built, they built it to take those races of the public road :)

Voted! As said its a long way off, and id rather vote towards that extra track being built in wales! haha

However, Im sure the is an awesome road none of us know about in a run-down quiet area that would be perfect for this with a bit of re-surfacing! :D

Yous are very lucky in the uk. In Ireland we have only have two propper drag strips and one other with no timing gear and two racing tracks
