Good choice in brake size, id advise 16" wheels at the size though, mine were taking paint of the standard 15's due to the calipers being a tad big.

Yeah definitely getting 16". Gonna hate the increased tyre prices but will have to be done.

We are going on the 28th may till 4th june mate. This will be epic if we all got together over there!! I think we will be at the ring on the 2nd june which is the sunday and monday 3rd june. We are headiing to the alps first for as few days

towing it over is a waste - i managed the 1000 mile drive there with nothing but 2 seats and a cage inside and a spoon N1....... yours will be luxurious in comparison. take out ADAC cover if you are nervous

uprated brakes is a must for any track, yes it is not as harsh on brakes as other tracks but especially if you are doing TF days then you need them in the emergency case of getting cut up or coming round a blind corner to find a car stranded in your path

16's are a waste on an ek9, will perform better on 15's and tyres are cheaper

it is a very addictive place, all i can say is have fun, don't let faster cars put you off - just keep an eye on your mirrors and let the locals past

How much is the ADAC cover if you mind me asking and how do i go about getting it as id like to have a back up incase anything does go wrong and i defo dont wanna leave my car in europe lol. 7

are u sure mate cause dave the guy thats going with us thought he was covered until he phoned and he was told £160ish for a weeks cover and that was with the aa lol

ah. Just re-read the term and conditions. Being a silver member they give you 24hours eu free cover only.

It's an extra £80-98 depending on what tier of cover you want.

Still not bad, I'd want it for the Uk recovery just in case to be honest.

when i was last there (2011) it was about 85 quid for ADAC for a years cover i believe, i never took it out on either trip

i am heading over in august to do a 2 day track day so will be taking out specific insurance for it

The idea of the trailer started as 2 cars will be going over. One of them a Jeep. So thought it might save some money and be a bit of a laugh. Completely see where you coming from though.

The decision on 16" wheels is based on the brake upgrade I've gone with. Oem wheels fit and no more. 16" will provide better clearance and cooling is my thinking.

Think its about 80 Euros. I haven't got it yet but will probably take it out shortly. Have to phone a German number and take it out over the phone. They will then send you the documents in the post (which are in German I believe)

I got the Plus Membership. 79.50EUR for a years cover. Will cover the UK when I'm back aswell
