my EK9 was awesome round there,

much more fun than my previous 240 hp corrado G60, :nice::nice:

I think i will be doin, as well as havin my baby with the mrs! next year is lookin bright:D
I used to have a corrado VR6:nice: I have loved them sin's i was a kid! i wanted to take that but never got round to it!:angry:

Without a doubt once you have done it the first time you will have the bug. It is an amzaing experience. Be sure to take a passenger and a spare mirror. There is an aweful lot to take in and having a second pair of eyes to check your behind allows you to concentrate on the road infront. Really helped me to relax and once you start getting faster and more comfortable you don't tend to have as many people overtaking you.
 
I will be forever jealous of you guys... :angry: One day i will run the ring in a fast car, i don't know what car or when, but i will do it one day...

I have an in car video but can not load it as its 9mins 33secs long. lol

You are not aloud to record any more if you get caught they can ban you for the rest of the season.
 
upload on youtube or google video. Although it would be best if you went on vimeo.com as the quality is by far the best.

Is there a reason why you are not allowed to record in general? Private property or some sticky regulation?
 
id love to do it one day..just cant justify the cost at the mo. or the replacement tyres and brakes.lol.

also the fear of crashing and a costly bill is really scary!!!
 
So..maybe travel out on a Sunday, spend 2-3 days then return (longer if you have the cash of course), like the sound of it being quieter in the week, who would prefer what? Obviously have to wait for dates though. So just add your name to the list :D
 
Crashing is always a concern, but if you drive at your own pace and watch those mirrors, you shouldnt have a problem.

It diminshes the reputation of the nurburgring if the video shows fatal accidents or realy poor/dangerous driving. They are having problems keeping it open as it is because the goverments are trying to ban the autobahn due to environment issues and many other such as safety.... The future is not looking good for the ring get there why you can lol.
 
prices of ring laps and petrol have rocketed over tha last year so getting more expensive, its actually a toll road but the experience is nice and a must for petrol heads

just weird when you come flyin round a bend and meet a coach full of passengers going about 30mph taking a tour and then next bend and nsx or carrera gt rockets past you

clubs do organise meets/trips with members around the world coming so possibility it could be done here, u.s members could plan there holiday (or should i say vacation) around it. european vacation maybe with ring leg
 
i was there last weekend in august. this was my second year there and thought it was even better than the first. done a lap in 9.10 in an ek9 with b16a engine that dyno`d at 176bhp. the only mods were apexi neo,which was how we got the 176bhp. spoon n1 cat back,tein basic coilovers and a set of toyo r888's. was really impressed wit the time as i only managed a 9.45 the first year.hope to go back next year wit an ek civic wit b18c engine running around 220-230bhp and good suspension setup should be able to break into the 8's then...

Thats a good time hopefully with my new suspension and light weight will be able to acheive similar times.

Thanks Jimbob, I'm planning on it. It's good to have a passenger on the track anyway. Hopefully I can hop from car to car or something.
