So guys anybody using obx throttle bodies? what do they run like i've heard good and bad and just what to know what gains can be got is it worth it?

From the specs, i'd say they will be okay for a stock b16b or b18c/c1. For b18c-r/b18c5/6 they're way too small.

They're not small at all mate, mine are 48mm which is big, my mates Jenvey's are 42mm.

They are not a straight forward fit, took a real lot of porting to match and the throttle cable doesn't fit well.

I saw some good power gains, no dyno results to prove it but i gained about 5 cars lengths down the 1/4 mile. Tons of mid range torque compared to stock! You need injectors and a fuel pump and an S300 or something similar because it runs **** with a stock ECU.

I'm not sure what your set up is but I would prefer to stroke it to an 1800, it's more value for money. My 1800 will be finished this week=) When it's run in I will post a video so you can see the ITB's on an 1800.

Hope any of this helped, if you have any further questions just ask!

Im chipping my standard ecu using ec tune which will make remappable so i thought that would do.

My current setup is a b16a2 withh ctr cams and springs with a mapped ec tune.

My next step is the obx. I was under the impression that obx are car specific so buy a set made for my b16a.then my injectors would slot in it would bolt on and all i'd need is a re-map of the ec tune.

You make it sound so simple, it's not! A mate of mine is running OBX bodies and they took alot of effort to fit correctly

You need to have tuning software that can tune via primarily the TPS signal, Hondata or DTA I know being used with good results

Will need a separate FPR, also the manifold for the bodies need modified to run vacuum from each cylinder, this will feed to a vacuum manifold so you can still feed your brake servo

There will no longer be a vacuum for the PCV system so will have to make up some form of breather system, easiest way is to run lines from the VC and black box on the block straight to a vented catch can

The standard injectors will need swapped out for something of higher volume as you will be up to a pretty high duration on the oem injectors which is not ideal

Jenveys are superior in design to the OBX, OBX can be a bit poor on cold start and partial throttle with the injectors sitting past the butterlies for the throttles, Jenveys maintain an OEM injector position on the manifold which is ideal

just had mine setup on jenveys by will (ek9turbo) on here . he is the best person to speak to i also beleive he has had dealings with the obx itbs also
