Oil filter?

Bringing this one back to the surface momentarily. Personally I went with an OEM Honda B16 oil filter but next time I might go with Mugen.
 
1.the hamp oil filter for the b16b / b18c engine is the same ?
2.what is the part number of hamp filter ?
there are two types of them one big and one smaller.
 
The Hamp filter I used a few months back was the small one and it was quite cheap as well, think I only paid about £6 and it seems to do the job! :)

USA have there own manufacturing factory Honda of America so thats why it say is from USA
Im located in NZ as all parts are send form Japan or Thailand

Im currently running 15400-PCX-004 S2000 high flow oil filter on my EK9 it seems to have increased the Oil Pressure by 5 psi dont know if its good or not this just what I notice

Im not sure about the filter Papers itself I think the Mugen has a tighter weave on the filter paper.

but if you want my personal reference I'll go with OEM

Note: there is an Oil pressure change between OEM and HAMP filters from my mechanical gauge, about 3-4 PSI different HAMP has a Higher Pressure and OEM is slightly lower
I am using Valvoline 5w40 SYN power Engine Oil the Oil pressure at IDLE right after an oil change and engine is at Op temp HAMP 42 PSI OEM 37 PSI, So I relate that to Higher Flow ?? correct me if im wrong yet to try the Mugen Filter they are so expensive X_X !!
 
Very interesting, so you would say from everything that you have looked at that the OEM is the best? Ive added rep too for this post, good info.
 
yea from what I have gathered so far yes the OEM ones is better then HAMP one
 
yes I was running that before as well didnt think of cutting it open and looking inside Fail !!
but the oil pressure was the same as OEM ones 15400-RTA-003

I have been swapping between the S2000 OEM filter and the HAMP filter ITR, I like the HAMP better...seems to engage VTEC a tad more solid, hits harder. I have yet to install an oil pressure gauge, will update when I do with the difference between these 2.
