Parello's JDM Honda Integra Type R..Milano Red

Well seeing as im new to honda's i thought id show what i recently treated myself to!

Well as some of you saw i had my Cherry Rallye which some people liked and some people hated lol! just to remind anyone...

Anyways i knew i was going to get a honda after the rallye and it was between an integra or ep3 civic both type r's of course!...Insurance was a problem though to be honest!
The thing is i sold my rallye about 3 months ago planned on buying a car the next week then randomly flew over to Magaluf and got a job there and stayed for the 3 months... One of the main reasons i came back was to buy a car as i missed driving and like most of us its a hobby fiddling with cars..

So anyways enough of that and where ive been bla bla bla...
...Here it is

Its a 1997 integra type r in milano red which is uber rare for a jap import
Got imported in 2004 i think got alot of history and everything quite well maintained just needs new brake pads which are getting done tomorrow
The bodywork work is clean as F"*k apart from the front bumper which lets it down as it was very poorly sprayed by the last owner who just done it quickly... NO rust issues which was my main concern buying one of these, this truley is a very clean car!

It feels like a animal compared to the rallye but then again i havent drove for 3 months so i cant remember the rallye that much

Got a few little plans when money allows but just to keep it looking smart starting with the bumper getting sorted out, type r stickers and some new honda badges !

Well with keeping it maintained here's what happened today...

Just new rear pads and re-greased everything back up, they were very low so just got them out the way straight away!

Brakes are bang on now!

Update:

Well i changed the rear pads in the previous update so i thought id change the front just to be on the safe side aswell and then this happened...

The car sat like this for a day in the garage because the front pads i got supplied where way to big.. they seemed to be for the 98' spec and sooo with going everywhere round bedford no one had any pads that would fit the front

When you type my reg in to any of the computers the car cant properly be found cause its a import which of course causes problems,

So in the end cause the car was already apart at the front with no pads and the old pads basically fell apart so couldnt be put back on i took the old ones to euro car parts and so i had Red stuff pads on the front and they managed to measure the pad and find the exact same Red stuff pads so had to wait a day for them to arrive so i didnt have my car

Not to mention that the Red stuff pads cost £60 and i only wanted OEM but thats all they had soo thats all i could do, what a right pain this simple job turned out to be!!

Well all went back on so i now had new pads all round which felt nice

and here is a picture after (excuse the learner cone thing lol as we were just playing around)

Fresh pads all round finally!!

Next up i fitted my component speakers and re-soldered the tweeter wires as they were quite weak and i had it out to sort a few wires out anyway soo that knocked a few jobs off the list!

Nice proper speakers is a must even though the sound of VTEC is major lol!!

And so finished off with a nice 4 hour clean in and out!

Washed, Clay barred, Polished, waxed the wheels too! and tyre shine of course and a few other random things

Next i think will be a good oil change and oil filter just to keep up with things.

Well its been a while since updating this but ive been driving it more than anything
as you can see here

my mates old skool golf too!

Anyways to start

I knew the boot lights leaking where common problems on tegs and the rear arches so i stripped the whole back out to see whats what.. and glad to say its all surface rust as you can see...

So went and bought a few things which included this to attack!

which resulted in most of it disappearing

The rear arches were all good aswell but i couldnt get the camera to take a pic of them as it was too dark in the hole

I also acquired this aswell

was abit messy but it didnt matter cause it just eats away at it

Then after a few hours it was dry which left it like this

Now all it needed was a seal so the Hammerite was out to seal it all!

Yess i know some of you may be thinking thats white lol, but it still does the trick and it gives it a nice healthy thick coat ready for when it gets a proper respray in the rear
At the same time i was doing this i replaced the rear light gasket as it was abit wet but didnt get any pics as i didnt have the cam on me

While i was there messing about in the rear i removed the hugeeeeeeeee aerial!

and replaced it with this lil beauty

I did leave the rear seats and everything out for about 2 weeks just to double check everything for a while, then it all went back in soon enough!


Moving on...

The little bits here and there to make it look fresh so i soon had this all delivered and sitting at home

Genuine H badge
Integra stickers
Fuchs titan race pro s 5w-40 oil
Hamp oil filter

Which also i might add the rear 'H' badge from my local honder dealer was expensive for a badge :shock: but i aint having a ebay special on here lol so i paid up and it does look nice!

Then for the sides which went ok apart from one side

As you can kind of see the template to put on the car was not very good and abit off so one side looks abit out! I should have a new one in the post to replace though so it will soon be off in the next few days

Leaving just the oil and filter left, that got done in the evening so fresh oil and oil filter in a vtec is always WIN WIN 8)


So with that update all being done its alot more fresh now and looks i think considerably better!

There are alot more plans its just picking and choosing what to do next

But in the post right now are the new integra passenger sticker and also a new small numberplate... so i will update soon enough

As you can see this was before, abit wonkey!

and then

that was annoying me ever since i put it on, so its all good now!

Next up was my small plate

I much prefer it like this even though i know some wont agree 8)

Exhaust update:

I will start with this

Very nice delivery!!

Brand new buddyclub spec 2 system :upyours:

veyr clean haha!

Not much you can say about getting an exhaust fitted really is there lol

But of course my ears do bleed :shock: , when driving the thing is mentally loud but im aloud as im young and not 30 lol! so you can only get away with it now so thats my reasons before anyone asks :twisted:

The quality of the exhaust is amazing though! just need to buy some Autosol now to keep it gleaming...

Hopefully get a video at some point to :gun:

Well had a meet from 106owners.co.uk the other day as i get on with all the people still and alot of us have changed cars now haha!
so i think there was only like 2 106's in the end haha!

It was at a rolling road in Milton Keynes, i didnt take part as instead of spending the £40 on the dyno i put it towards my decat pipe instead which i just bought

The 16v rallye

140bhp was quite impressive

I cant remember what power this was but it was a proper smart car

Ax gti 16v..134 bhp was ok too!

You can see what i mean about the front bumper needing a respray and sorting out abit now

Also they all knew it was me when arriving as you cant miss the sound of this!

Anyways thats about it.. Waiting to receive my Tegiwa de-cat pipe now and to get the cat light grounded when underneath the car :twisted:

Just to mention i got my new tegiwa decat and gasket on 2.5

Nice teg! The Milano red is so nice. My mate has a buddyclub spec 2 on his b18 ej and that's stupid loud! Sounds awesome though. Good effort on the car! Your old rallye looks sweet too!

and the buddyclub is epic!! but i may be selling it soon fancy a different exhaust or even maybe a mugen twin loop

This is just a little update as i haven't purchased alot recently just cheap parts

I went to a jdm meet in east London this is the only pic i got as we got lost and it was crap and raining so there werent many cars there :cry:

I have always hated the number plate lights as they were yellow so just went about changing them

to this

I also bought a new rear plate so it didnt have any writing at the bottom and thought i would get a holder for it

so of course like i thought it didnt exactly fit so instead of bother sending it back i just cut it up and did this

but no it looked crap :roll: so in the end i just put the standard plate on

also bought some aero wipers just to neaten things up

I just finished off with cleaning it in and out

So yeh just a few bits here and there guna change the wheels soon i think :gun:
