Hi all, in the process of buying a house, had a meetimg with the esate agent today, basically buying a house is more expensive then i thought, so looks like they both have to go :(, not happy at all cause i have just spent a fortune getting my b18c 9 on the road. Its absolutly going to kill me having to sell it. My other 9 isnt so bad as i only brought it for a daily whilst my other one was off the road. Has anyone else had to make these painstaking choices

If anyone if after a mint facelift b18c 9 and a mint pre facelift 9 let me know. As the sooner i get rid off them the quicker i can get on the property ladder :).

I must say its something that i said i will not do, but ill get another 9 when i have sorted this crap out.

Sorry to bore you all, haha

Cheers

That's crap. If the military didn't provide interest free loans for house deposits I would have been screwed too. The deposit you require these days is a joke..

I know mate tell me about it, i thought i had more then enough saved, but nope i was wrong lol, i nearly had to be picked up again when she said how much i would need plus oviosly funature and other bits and bobs.

Well my honda days are nearly at a end for a few years :( but cant wait to finally move out into the love den haha

Sorry to hear that fella. :(

My ex had to stump up a 25k deposit for her to get her own place and that was for a tiny 2 bed house, not only that it's through one of the council schemes whereby she only owns 75% of the house and if she decides to sell she only gets 75% back.

She struggled to get a mortgage and she's on 33k a year, can't imagine how difficult it is for people to get a mortgage on their own or with a partner, it must be a nightmare.

Gutted for you about the cars too mate as it seems you've spent a lot of money on them especially the B18.

I feel for you mate I am in the same boat put my 9 up for sale a couple of weeks ago after spending a fortune on her last year, the depost situation is a joke! :nono:

Getting a mortgage these days are not easy these days. Average age for a first time buyer is 28. Good luck in what you choose man, you'll be back in a 9 soon enough :)

Your not wrong there bud, its a absolute nightmare. It will be worth it in the end though.

Yes my b18c is the car i was expecting to keep for a good while. I have spent a fortune on it, i have done everything thats needed. just spent 400 just on discs and pads lol. its more how much time and blood sweat and tears thats gone into it. I have proberly added 10 years to my apperance witg the amount of stress that car has put me through. Gonna sell my daily first and then try and bring myself to selling my b18c one. Some lucky person is gonna to be getting one hell of a 9 :(.

Been there and done that mate. I had to sell my EF8 and pile of rare parts years ago to fund toward our house purchase. This was before the economic downturn but it has still taken me almost 10 years to get another Honda together. In all seriousness, buying property is well worth it in the long run. If you do have to sell up to fund a house I'm sure you will be back before long. Good luck with the purchase and try to buy something with a garage or room to build one!

cheers man. fingers crossed it all goes through ok. im 24 which means a bigger deposit :(. dont understand why there making it so hard to get a place of your own, i mean they have to give us youngsters a chance :(

Done it the opposite way, got a house when a was 22 with the girlfriend, went tits up a few years later. Moved back in with parents, sold old mondeo st and bought a 9 then went bankrupt cause of the house. So will have the 9 for a while, and a long time time before a get a house again! But would not like to get rid of my 9 never mind 2! But all the best bud!

wuft low end of the estimates.

35 years old is more like it

I understand your pain. I'm military and getting ready to PCS shortly. Can't take the ek9 with me and am going to have to sell it. Things like this happen for a reason though. A house is more important than a car.

Believe me, once you get a house you'll want to buy things for it and personalize it just like you're 9.

It'll cost a lot more to mod you're house than it will you're car but at least It'll be invested whereas you pretty much lose everything once you sell the car.

My cars up for sale for similar reasons. I've moved house, but the money i could make back getting a cheaper Honda will give me money spare to spend on the house.

Hope you can afford to keep at least one of them anyway mate!

Was faced with this a couple of months ago but decided to go back to my mum for a tray tops and save like hell deposit is a killer in mainland uk probs is allot worse than here in n.i for a £100000 mortgage I need £10000 deposit..

My best mate has just brought a house and he is 5 weeks younger then me, it all mainly boils down to income and deposit. My income is more then enough atm its just i need a big deposit which sucks ass. Got to go back to the esate agents and talk more today.

But what she said yesterday means my 9s have to go :(. Back to a dirty diesel for me :(

Pcs?

Know the feeling man, I remember when I sold my 1st ek9 to buy my flat, sad times although my own home out weighed a car at the time. Can always get another one in the future mate. The sooner you get the mortgage the sooner its paid off. Nothing better than your own space :)
