Regamasters and spoon

are Desmond regamasters and spoon sw388s the EXACT same wheel? i saw a pic earlier and i think the spoons were different.. although they could have been rotas. anyone wanna clear this up?

while im making a thread, spoon ecus are all the rage but is there a mugen alternitave? only wonderin cus my only mods are mugen

Mugen do a N1 race ECU, quite aggressive and has a higher limiter than spoon, they very much advise uprated valvesprings to compliment it

Rega evos are the same yes, although the true SW388 is the 15x6.5" first edition wheels which weighed 3.88kg, hence the name

Mine are first edition ones, although will be marginally heavier than SW388's, this is since SW388 are not painted but have a black anodised finish which is lighter than painting, very little in it of course

Mugen ECU is much the same as spoon, spoon has a safer limit though if you're not changing anything internal

IIRC the Regamasters are powder coated and the Spoons are sprayed. Or the other way around. But that's pretty much all difference there is.

Remember 15" and 16" rega's do look little bit different. You could have saw a 16" inch and compared it to a 16" set.
