Hey dudes, I don't know if ne one asked this before but here goes....

What is the best aftermarket shock absorber that is closest in performance to the OEM Ek9 shock absorbers? Is the tokico blue shock absorber any good?

lemme know!

thanks..

The Tokico blue would be a downgrade.

A Bilstein sport is likely close, but a Koni yellow is probably closer. Some have said the KYB AGX is an acceptable replacement too.

The Bilstein and Koni both have adjustable perches so that's a bonus as you can use the stock spring and still lower the car slightly. Don't forget to use extended tophats if you do go this route. Droop will be minimized and you'll maintain the desired travel.

If your looking at Tokico the Illumina is a great shock. You get 5 way adjustable dampening with it. I have ran these on all my civic's even my EK9 and loved them.

As said above Koni is also a good option as well as Bilstein both of those would be a good upgrade.
