I have for sale an S4C gearbox out of my 96 EK4 which has covered 95000miles.
It has been out for a few months now but as far as i can remember there was the slightest of crunches from 3rd to 4th but this was before i treated it to some LandRover MTF94 and some American Technologies gearbox additive. After that i cant say i noticed any crunching but then again my clutch was basically dead so i never tried it at very high RPM.
Havent got any pictures at the minute as the box is at my friends but i`ll get it cleaned up a touch and get some pics up but you`ve all seen a gearbox before so you know what to expect. Its in good condition anyway.
Am looking for £150 but will let it go for a little bit less if the person is keen enough as i need it gone pretty quick to be honest.
Location is in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
I`d rather it be collected due to size and weight as you`d imagine.
Or i`d swap it for some form of suspension ie dampers or a standard exhaust system/cheap aftermarket
