I know a few people on here have safety devices cages and I wondered where you got them from and how much you paid? (And which options you had)

Also how long did you have to wait for it to arrive?

I've messaged Corby Motorsport for price and availability but would like to see what other companies are recommended

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I had a custom cages cage. Didn't take long to be made and shipped to me.
Was a weld in though.

Thought about that option but I only really want a rear cage for now, for a bit of added stiffness and a place to mount harnesses (and to look cool of course)

There's a guy on eBay that bends up made to measure main hoops in cds for about £130 so that's another option + a few metres of straight tube

That's not a bad idea mate.
Can you get a bolt in option if it's just stiffness and the look your after?

There is someone on a Facebook page selling a half cage actually.
Think it's honda parts for sale or something?
Could be worth a look

The safety devices cages can come as bolt ins which is what I want really, was looking at the Cusco cages but they are pretty feeble looking in comparison and the single bolt joints wouldn't stand up to much imo

Ah ha thanks will try and check it out, will have to borrow the girlfriends fb

This one on eBay doesn't look that great IMO.
If you go ahead with the safety devices bolt in let me know what you think of it.
Would like another cage but without the aggro of welding in.

Sorry I meant the one of Facebook.
Brains fried today for some reason.

Iv got a Carbing 8point bolt in (ijwhitemans old cage) and it's great. Had a cusco 6 point bolt in before hand and I can feel the difference.

Would recommend a decent bolt in really makes a difference!

Want!
Shouldn't have commented In here lol

Mmmm, I want to know how much this would be as well. Do you think we could haggle a wee discount if it was three of us buying at the same time? :D I'm still undecided whether to go for a full cage or just a half cage. I refuse to run harnesses without mounting them properly so a half cage will be minimum I'll need, I like the idea of having front mounting points added in case I decide to get the front later. I can ask SW what kind of deal they would do, I;ve tried to call them a couple times last week about dash flocking but never got through. Or have one made by them, might be a little cheaper and probably just as good.

Unfortunately this engine build has me crippled for afew months.
Defo on the wish list though. I've run my harnesses from the oem bolt holes via eyelets before, never actually crashed with them like that though.
When I did crash the b18 ek9 I had the harnesses mounted to the cross bar of my roll cage. Walked away like nothing happened.

Il let you both know if Corby Motorsport get back to me, there's a couple of other places I may call as well. I'm not sure if it's possible to deal direct with safetydevices,

I'm still considering getting a pre bent hoop and building the rest my self though

Not sure on the cost of a pipe bender, but I'm pretty handy with things like this. Can't be too hard?
Measure/bend/repeat until it fits?

Thought about that to, but good pipe benders capable of forming a nice bend are quite big bucks, I think for £120 that pre bent hoop is pretty good value, the rest is just straight pipes and notching a few ends.

Good point on the quality bends.

The new lightweight steel (T45) OMP cages are very good and come approved with certification etc

They a good bit cheaper than safety devices but come un-painted

Unpainted is no problem,
with the older omp cages I wasn't keen on the slip over joints and had seen some people complain of figment issues,

Have you got a link or anything to the new type omp cages?
