hi guys just wanted an opinion on something ive been wanting to do for a while now.

me and my girlfriend have been thinking about go travelling for a while now, and ive been toying with the idea if i was to sell my car and save i would easily have enough to do this.

just wanting to know if people would/have been travelling and now where to start and if its a good idea.

im mainly thinking that im 20 years old and i could always buy another ek9 when i get back after some saving.

thanks

Id say go for it mate you only live once and you can always buy another nine later on plus you still youn if i didnt have a baby id of loed to do that it could be once in a life time oputunity
Id say do it :)

You will only regret it if you don't. I wish i had done something like it before i got my flat to be honest :(

do it. you only live once so with that said try to enjoy life to the fullest

I left school at 16 and started working in a good job and been there for 14 years this august god I feel old now :nerv:
But when I go on holiday I see folk working abroad for the summer season I feel like a have missed a life experience by working like that 6 months here 6months there and traveling so there for my vote is do it go and enjoy it,
Iam 30 in a few weeks:nono: and still happy with my ek9:drive:

yeah it does seem obvious to go out and do it as ive been wanting to do it for so long!

thanks for all the info people.

has anyone ever been travelling around the world before ? if so any tips advice where to go, organising etc

my cousin went to a few places last year, before he left he had all his hotels, hostels and hire cars pre-booked before he left to make it handier for when he got there, he had his route well planned out before he left in order to do all the pre-booking so i would say to do the same if you have certain places you want to go. he said it was the best thing he ever done and he has the pics to show, he sickens me everytime he brings them out since i didnt go and to be honest, i regret not going :(

definately do it. the car n parts can be bought again, these things can only be done once.

id definately do South East Asia, Thailand, Cambodia, tubing in Laos, Singapore and Malaysia. ive been to Thailand twice for 8weeks and 4weeks will definately be back again to do the whole lot. loved every day of it

depending on ur budget id start off in Moscow and get the trans Siberian to China. the make my way through SE Asia and onto Oz.

Agree, do it. I wish I'd had the oppertunity when i was younger. I now have a mortgage and a full time job so kinda difficult.

There will always be well kept EK9's within you're budget if you decide to buy another when you get back.

Do it while you can. You can keep your car at your house when you have kids, but travelling is another matter.

my friends planned to do Asia trip for 4 months it's now been about 7 month and they don't want to come back, one of them is looking for a job and flat over there. seen his pics and they look mental I wish I'd gone

When I lost my job, I sold up everything I had and went travelling overland in Africa, six months turned into 10 months and I do not regret a single thing about it.
In the years after you return you can buy back all the stuff you sold, but you might find that you don't need so much of it after all.

Do it, for sure.

I spent the last 3months of 2010 in south America, had no plans at all except the flight home. I think it's better that way as then there is no stress to meet deadlines as such. Me and a friend bought a car in Buenos Aires, Argentina and drove across country and then down the "40" through the Andes, Took us a week camping each night. It's not the normal back packer thing to do and that was the best thing about it. The most amazing scenery in the world I guess.

I've caught the bug now and just want to keep exploring the planet, next time New Zealand.

Do it man! As everyone says you only live once, be quality and you can always get another 9 wen you get back. Good luck mate :)

go for it mate as said u only live once and when the opprtunity arises take it :)

u can always buy an ek9 when u get back :)
