Without going crazy with it, try a bit of heat on it, and tap with a punch and small hammer. splash of WD40 and keep doing this cycle a few times and then try loosen it off, should do the trick for ya.

Why is the head comimg off?!:nerv:

head gasket

i dont have any way of applying heat to it....its the only thing stopping me from lifting the head off the car

im thinking about just cutting the wire going into it and then rewire it back in when putting it all back together

its the small one with the brown coloured head

its the only one there lol

What symptoms do you have?

My b16a was pushing the coolant into the reservoir until it overflowed when on the track. Also when the car was up to full temp with the rad cap open and you reved the car small air bubbles appeared at the radiator opening.

My oil was not mixing with the coolant and no water in the oil but I had a tiny compression leak only when up to full temperature

Fitted a new Honda head gasket and it was still the same! So in the end I sent the head to be pressure tested which was ok so no cracks but they measured it to be very slightly off perfectly flat tolerance. They skimmed the head the smallest amount possible and we re-fitted it and problem solved

yea very same symptoms as you describe ste

my neighbour build engines and skims head etc so will nip accross the road tomorrow see what he reckons

ive been reading some info about skimming and ill be looking for his advise on how much to skim

Is this the same lad as done my k20 head? If it is you would want to tell him exactly how much you want off ...nothing more or less...or you could end up in the same bother as me,
