Are you having high heat issues? Or is this just for looks?
Wrap on Headers sometimes cracks the welds, sometimes. Just be aware of that and you should be good to go.

yeah ive heard that.im a bit worried bout the heat as i have an open air filter wuld much prefer not to wrap it as i think it looks sweet in stainless but dont want to lose performance sucking in warm air

Engine block heat is what your issue is regarding the intake filter.
Only one way to fix that, Mugen style or CT ice box intake system.
Heat wrap will only help a little over-all with regard to heat control under the hood.

Personally I think manifolds look better wrapped - more purposeful.

If you're doing trackdays I would definitely recommend doing it even if it's only to reduce the chances of burning yourself if you ever need to check anything under the bonnet when the engine's still hot.

I'd also vote for Thermotec coolit. A little bit dear but you'll be genuinely shocked how good it is.
I've also got the same header btw and mine's wrapped. (it's actually a 4-2-1 but the 2 bit is very short).

Ever felt how hot the bottom of the mugen box gets from heat transfer off the lower rad hose? Something i will be addressing with the new setup

I use heat reflective material on my ice box to prevent this from getting so hot, and it works. ;)

in the pic below you can see a tad of the reflective tape on the left bottom attached to the Ice box itself, right next to the radiator hose...its also on the entire bottom half of the ice box...getto but it works nice:
