Rules are simple, please follow them to avoid being a victim of scammers:

Don't buy from users if:

- Users without a reputation thread here:

Reputation Center - EK9.org JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R Forum

- If someone sents you a PM and has only 10 posts, 99% of the times he just posted random / non sense stuff to be able to send you a PM.

- If a user is trying to sell you stuff from PM and has less than 250 posts, please send a PM to me or any other mod with the pm the user sent you; and he will be banned from the forum.

- If a user doesn't send you good and in detail photos, ask for a photo with his nickname written on a paper next to the product.

- If a users asks you to send money through paypal as a gift.

Thank you and beware! :nice:

Actualy got a random PM today offering me to buy stuff. And I dont even have a wanted add for anything. He only had 19 posts and joined the forum this month.

Im all for giving people a chance, could be a genuine guy that just hasn't read the rules yet. But sorry I wouldn't be chancing that.

Don't think people should be banned straight away but just strickly warned then monitored to see what and how they post after the warning.

I understand the last three... but I think the first one is a bit harsh... I mean Ive sold a few items on civiclife but non of them have left me anything on the reputation thread.. just saying that you have to start somewhere that is all...

common sense can go along way aswell! If the seller is genuine they will not mind taking some pictures with their user name on them or even a date! I think this would stop alot of scams and should be in the FS rules as well, same as a few other forums. At least it proves its actually yours and normally means the photos are up to date. just my 2 cents. :nice:

I would suggest that admin should only allow users with 250+ posts be able to view the wanted ads to prevent scammers. And maybe even allow users with 250+ posts to post for sale ads :)

I think that's **** I have just managed to get 50 posts but have lots to sell I have eBay reputation of 424 100% positive and I would prefer to sell on here but don't have enough posts as I only post if I really know something not just "nice ride man". Is there anyway of changing this?

Are you really stupid enough to say that you were posting crap to get your post count up, on a thread a moderator has started?

Not the best move on his behalf but at least he is honest to say that...
