Does anyone know if the Spoon 3mm spacers ever came in black w/o the rotor screws cut out? I just received a set in black, and it all looks legit - packaging, part#, etc. Just curious.

Do they have "Spoon Sports" stamped on them? Only ever seen them un-coloured. I may be wrong like, but worth checking if you paid Spoon prices for them...

No, there's nothing on them to suggest they are from Spoon. However, the packaging, part#, and item description look genuine Spoon - Clear plastic with blue squares, Spoon logo, item description, etc.

i only seen them polish. have you try searching the part number to see if it comes up as a real spoon sports

to be honest, if they fit and are the correct size etc does it really matter if they are genuine or not?

if you pay for the brand you need to have the genuine parts I think

There are too many items copied and there is a bad business for the brand.
ARC, HKS usa and more brand suffer of the copying.

If you're paying nearly seventy quid for two spacers yeah! I'd want them to be out of the Queen's antique cabinet for that price!

i meant for this particular application, not much you can arse up quality wise in 2 spacers

If it's from RHDJapan I wouldn't worry as they're legit guys, I've had loads of stuff from them over the years and never had any issues. As for Spoon parts I've noticed that they often change parts, you only have to look at the intake elbows, the rubber is different on some and whilst some have the spoon logo on the inside the newer ones have it stuck on the outside.

Yes, I bought them from RHDJapan. I've heard a lot of good things about them and was assured the spacers were legit prior to ordering. Also, I just discovered another distributor selling genuine Spoon products, and they sell the same black spacers. I guess Spoon changed the design at some point. As far as does it matter, yes it does. You want what you pay for be it brand name or not. Thanks for all posts everyone! Oh yeah, don't buy the ECO spacers from Inlinefour. They are are cheap for a reason. :nerv:

Glad you got to the bottom of that! Piece of mind is always worth asking questions for, ha...
