*** SPOON vs OEM ECU DYNO RESULTS ***

I mentioned a while back the Spoon ECU made no difference to actual performance on my B16B and we tested it before and after racing my friends eg6 and the results were identical with both ECU's. Now Max's graphs prove what i said was dead true. The power throughout hasnt changed(at least to enhance performance it hasnt anyway)

I was disagreed upon strongly that my experience was wrong, but how can you be wrong with the kind of test i done? On road test with several before and after runs.

Anyway im glad this has been tested on dyno so i can see for myself on paper too. In my honest opinion i found the spoon ECU to take the fun out of the B16B. Just what i felt when i owned it. Nice ECU though.

The B18 though it seems to have had a better effect, At least on Ians engine anyway.

Interesting to see the B16B figures. I have a graph that came with my car, which has a stock B16B except for the Spoon airflow pipe. Dyno'd at a Dyno Dynamics with Alan Jeffery. It shows 171,8 BHP. So judging by the other graph with the modifications that seems rather OK, doesn't it?
