Hi all, newb to civics i've started to source parts for my '99, i'm after help in deciding what coilovers to invest in, are there any that i should stay away from, or any that are not track worthy. I know people say they're gonna be going to the track 10 days a week ;-) but after drifting my old nissan 180sx i'm missing the track and wanna get out there.

I've been looking at D2s are these any good? also there are quite a few offers on these coilovers, are there any others i should be looking at?
As for bracing i've seen quite a few people using ACR? forgive if it's wrong. Are they ok have there been any problems with these under floor bracing? or are there other makes i should be looking at?

Thanks for any help you can give me, sorry if i've been a bit of a word smith.

If I was you I would go for BC over D2s..The reports seem to be better for BC..D2s seem to be very harsh..( I aint speaking from experience but only reports)..

Cheers JDM, have been checking out some reviews of the D2s and peeps have said that they are really solid and can be uncomfortable, my cuscos on my nissan were REAL harsh coupled with a 7 point cage my car was up for a seam welding visit

By the by, does anyone know where or who is doing any promos on the Buddy coilovers?

I would go for BC Coilovers over the d2's as already said dude. I had D2's on my last car and I swear I used to get backache everytime I drove it:angry2:...never again:nono:

Also consider MeisterR Coilvers too:

CivicLife.net

Ive never had a set but they seem to be getting awesome reviews and the after sales service is sappost to be excellent too.

Good luck, and keep us posted:nice:

Anyone tried HSD, i'm on drift works and they come highly recommended, but mostly from rwd cars, just wanted to know if they're any good on fwd

A/Z cheers man, have done a little more research and heard good things. I was looking at your group buy earlier but see you've sent it off, will you be doing another one? after i sell my bike, i wanna get the coilovers, but also wanna get some bracing stuffs and a few body mods, from password...

I'm fairly new to the civic world, mine's not a typeR i know they'll fit but would i have to have them set up different for a non typeR? also i know i'm swaying off topic, but i've got a 5 lug conversion coming up, will all the footwork that i'm changing over clear these coilovers?

Thanks for all your help guys.

Yes if it is a suspenson for the 96-00 civic it'll fit, I also think you shouldn't have any issues with the 5 lug conversion if the conversion comes from a ek9 then I'm 100 % sure you shouldn't exepect any issues. :nice:
