Tegiwa Manifold

I have a tegiwa mani on my jordan civic and really pleased with it! had it on about 8months now and its still great condition, no rust at all.

Would recommend.

hello, I bought new exhaust headers from tegiwa. I´ve tried a lot of aftermarket headers but I´m really sad because this tegiwa headers totally killed my vtec crossover sound. When I install back stock b16a2 headers vtec crossover is again alive. Has anyone had this problem with tegiwa headers too ? :(

--> B16a2 with top fuel carbon intake and 60mm catback system only.

i cant speak for a tegiwa manifold but my toda was similar in having less of a jump in power when vtec hits...this is probably due to the design lending itself to a smoother power with good gains in low and mid range

If you get a jump in power on crossover your crossover point needs moving, as crossover should be a the exact rpm point that the cam profiles are making the same torque (and thus power).

Noise wise I have this manifold and it sounds different certainly on vtec, but I don't care about noise.
Go > show.

Actually its worth mentioning that on my A2 there was a smooth cam transition, but on my B its not smooth, in the wet it hits vtec in 2nd and spins up.
It would suggest the manifold suits the lairy cams I suppose, and that i need a remap.

Aggressive vtec crossover is not a good thing. Unless you have a big set of cams that are tuned to have significantly higher Vtec.

A manifold that gives a smooth crossover is one that is working in harmony with the engine gaining torque before vtec and throughout. Genuine Toda 421 manifold is just the same.. Its one of the reasons they are the best off the shelf manifold you can buy, as they give gains allround. Not just a dumb big Vtec kick.

How close a copy is the Tegiwa to the toda? I could never figure out what the differences were between all the headers apart from manufacturing quality... :S
