Im just about to put 4 new tyres on my ek9 and the toyo proxy t-1r is the only choice for me. I got them for the first time when I replaced my tyres last year and they have been the best tyre choice I have ever made. Tried Bridgestone, goodyear, pirelli and while all good . . . the toyo has been sublime!!

Amazing grip in wet or dry, look great, not too expensive and the durability is good (Not great) but good.

Hope you all can try them and like them as much as I did.

So just to say THANK YOU TOYO!! :nice:

you should try toyo R888`s i have some on my track wheels,, awesome

nothing wrong with toyo's mate thats what I'm running at the minute I havn't had no problems with them

I know theres nothing wrong with them, thats why I posted this thread saying they were awesome. Don't really know what your getting at lee.

I very much agree, great dry and wet handling these toyos are awesome.

I was thinking about getting some, but alot of the honda guys say the sidewalls are too soft on them (have you guy using them noticed this problem?), so I'm looking into getting another set of Eagle F1's or Parada Spec 2's.

the sidewalls are soft, with a car with a stiff chassis like an EK9 or a DC2 you can feel it,, and they do go off when driving round teh nurburgring,
but overall tehy are a good tyre, if you cant afford Bridgestone 010`s then tehse are perfect, for track though i always use r888`s and for road i like the bridgestones..

There's been a thread on these before, there are better tires for the money. The sidewalls are mush. The tread blocks are small.

i tried t1r when they first came out and rtate as as simple average tyre, personally wouldnt run them ever again

much better choices include AD07, RT 615, bstone RE01R to name a few

He's saying toyo's are good and he runs them on his ek9 (toyo's are getting a bit of bad press at the moment and he's defending them):nice:

toyo do some very good tyres but these are more top end/track orienatated side of the market

im running t1-r, dont like them very much to be honest, i tend to get a lot of understeer with them.

I had some Eagle F1's, which are a great tyre, but as with the Toyo T1-R - not on an EK9.

Potenza RE010 for me.

Getting a set of 195 40 R16 proxies for my 9 when it comes, cant argue £47 a tyre :D

T1 R's FTW :win:

im with sandwiches...re010s all the way when i change mine.

t1 rs are still budget sports...i thought they would be very good but heard alot of guys on other forums slate them

they are decent for the price i guess, but if you can find t1s i found them better.....but not great!

I don't know whether it's the roads where i live but potenza's can't cut it
and i'm not too keen on the wet handling either.

I'm tryin eagle f1's this time, my mate got them on his dc2 and won't shut up
about them, so i figure what the hell, go for it.
