I'm looking to do some trackdays this year and my car has launch control programmed into the S300. The car soft limits at 4,500rpm at a stand still. Question is the noise test i've read it's taken at 6,000rpm but my car won't rev to that. Will I need it removed or not? Thanks in advance :thanks:

"lunch control" hahaha

Will Ek9 turbo tuned it and the lad that had the car before me asked him to have it fitted. I never use it, just lights the wheels up waste of time

He's laughing cause you said "lunch control" instead of "launch control" ;)

You can have it controlled by a switch. Yeah it will need to be off when the noise test is performed.

Thanks for the edit :) Will a tuner need to remove/switch it or can it be done though a laptop and disk?

Can be done yourself through the s300 software on the laptop . Launch control is a waste of time anyway . Download the latest version of s300 software then connect it up to your laptop via the USB on laptop and disable it

I really want it installed on my car when I get round to the ecu, it would help tremendously with autotesting. Pointless outside of a competition environment though I agree. Never thought about the noise test issue though, I thought it was always routed through a switch.

Not sure how else it can be switched but if it was will that done it it will be worked via a oem Honda clutch switch . I have heard of it being installed via a dash mounted switch but never actually seen it done . It is only good on trackdays if the conditions are the exact same as when it was set up otherwise it's a waste of time . I personally have had it and can say I will never have it again

I'll take a look at downloading the software. I take it just go to there site and it there. Thanks for the info

Noise tests are taken at 3/4ish of the revs of where the read line is at, not where the rev limiter is at. On the site it usually says max rev's, implying the limiter. But every trackday i have done they have always just said, where does the redline start.

You will need to have the launch control removed, all launch control i have seen you need to flick a switch to enable it.
