TypeRuss B18 Build

Which l did'nt / don't lol... :) New disks should be arriving tomorrow along with my new steering wheel... next week for the seats and hopefully ;) engine mounts then the putting the new engine in process can begin!

Just about to order some AO48's but im in two minds to get some 888s from camskill or RS2s!!! My discs and pads arriving in 3 weeks. You better have this done by then batty boy!!

Lol hopefully it'll be done by the end of next week... if not deffo the week after! Those 888's are gonna be pricey! Put up the pics from the other day mate!

Looks good OP. You throwing a cage in it for the track? I didn't see mention of it.

Not at the moment matey... Bit out of my reach price wise at the moment, i'm gonna see how much l can sell the old engine for and then look at possible getting a cage :)

Few more pics from today, got the new steering wheel in which looks quite cool l think. Also the gauge holder is now in the car although it's still not finished (can't find that damn spray glue anywhere!) And a few engine bay pics!

Should be getting my brakes, seats and a new rocker cover tomorrow aswell! New coilovers should be arriving mid-week. Just need some damn engine mounts now and l can start putting everything back in!

Like those dials Russ, looks nice, have to get some close up pics, I like dials like that when they are installed like that, looks stock but special at the same time. I used to have a couple of dials in my old civic (oil temp and pressure) they were installed in a pillar pod though.

Didn't really get any good pics but Russ has sprayed the intake fanimold hamerite silver and i'm doing the job of polishing the fuel rail and intake bit. I didn't really fancy spraying these bits just incase any paint got in there to fubered up the precious start up.

Here's a teaser of how the PCV looks all dremelled. It's also how the rest of it will look!

Wey! Cheers for posting the pic up karl! Not got the patience myself to dremel polish bit's n bob's up! Recieved my new disks today and managed to get the rears on with a bit of trouble! Fronts will be going on tomorrow, should hopefully be recieving my seats, spare cam cover, engine mount's and facelift rear light's tomorrow! Can't wait! Will get some pic's of the brakes and other bit's and bob's tomorrow and put them up :D Finally all coming together

This is the state of the old Tein suspension... Don't know if it's particularly clear in the photo but the 'rings' that you twist to lower and raise the suspension under the springs started to break away. The passenger side is a LOT worse than this!

The new kit on the car. Just set at out of the box settings, will adjust when the new engine is in the car...

And a few of my new disks...

Bad new's is that due to having to beat the living shite out of the front disk's to get them off the hub (were siezed on) l now need to replace the front wheel bearing's :( Gonna book them in to be done in a few weeks time, should give me plenty of time to finish all the installation work!

Also got a 'H' brace to go on... Not the most expensive of things but i've heard good reviews on them before and l got it at a good price so thought why not!

Photo0741.jpg

Still waiting for these damn seats!

More car bit's just turned up haha!

Another big box...

Dials lit up. Think the third one in is dull as i'm only testing it with a 9v battery... and the thin protector plastic is still on aswell

Photo0761.jpg

Also got the suspension fully installed and l managed to get the pass hub off yesterday. Had to hacksaw through the balljoint before it gave up though! Had some new ball joints lying around so l put a new one in while l was at it... Will replace the drivers side when the wheel bearing is being done :D

Also just a random question, think i'm just beginning to doubt myself though lol All l have to do is unplug the EK9 ecu and plug in the DC2 ecu right? I've read that as my car is a pre-facelift it's all plug and play kinda thing, but l just wanna check as i'm having last min nerves haha!

Yep the ecu will plug straight in as your car is a prefacelift (obd2a) and all integra type r ecu's are obd2a, if it were a facelift which is obd2b you would need a conversion harness :nice:.

Looking good buddy, Keep up the good work!:D

You ant cutting any corners thats for sure, ul have a new car by the end of it!

Haha! yea man, if your gonna do something then you might as well get it right first time lol! The gauges are not defi :secret: they were from a company called 'performance shop uk' got all three gauges, oil sandwich plate, water temp adaptor and all fittings for £120 including delivery which l thought was pretty good. The lad's there were really helpful too :nice:

Cheers for the confirmation with the ECU, think i'm just having last min nerves haha! Just swapping the new flywheel onto the engine atm then l can start thinking about getting it in the car! Also just wondered, when l took my ht leads off the old engine l thought l heard a sound like a little bit of metal hitting the floor and now when l go to push the ht lead onto the spark plug on the new engine it won't 'click' on to the spark plug? Any ideas??? Not long to go now till it's done! Ordered a few new gaskets from Honda this morning, was quite surprised at some of the prices. New anti roll bar links (rear) are only £27 from Honda... Very good l think!

Also, which direction does the coolant flow around the engine? For eg does it flow up or down through the rad? I need to know so l can identify which hose to cut into for my water temp adaptor :D

Look inside the ht lead and check that the bit that plugs onto the spark plug has'nt broken off, these are usually quite soft metal.

its the top hose that you cut to put the temp sensor in.
