Just a lil update, Got the engine in today! The pic of the flywheel with only four bolts was just to remind me l needed to torque them up so it now has all the bolts all torqued up Got the engine and box inside the engine bay and bolted up to the two side mounts... Gonna finish off the insteallation work tomorrow and then hopefully l can start her up!
Does anyone have any reccomendations for where l can get a front wheel bearing from? The drivers side is shot and l need to sort it before the car can be driven! Thank's!
Engine is now in and bolted up... tuesday will be the day l fire the bad boy up! Had a few issues though, like the ht lead 3rd in from the left won't go all the way on the spark plug... tried all the other ht leads in the same hole and they won't click all the way dawn so l know there is deffo something in the hole preventing me from pushing the ht lead all the way down... Think my only option is to trim the rubber at the base of the ht lead, is this safe?
WEY! Started the car up today!!! Karl (texx) took a vid which we will post up later on! Got a bit of an oil leak though lol pretty sure it's from the unused port in the sandwich plate as l don't recall tightening it up so will be checking that first thing tomorrow! Getting the wheel bearing sorted tomorrow lunch time then l can put the drive shafts in, bleed the clutch and brakes and hopefully go for a drive! Was sooooooooooo relieved when it started lol
Also forgot to mention! The reason my ht lead would not go on was because somehow (have now idea how) a rubber grommet the exact size to go round the outside of the spark plug was down the ht lead hole lol took me bout an hour to get the damn thing out! Was really wedged in there from where l was trying to push the ht lead on Oh well all sorted now!
Job's for tomo, fix oil leak, wheel bearing, driveshafts, brake and clutch bleed, drive car, wash car, drive car some more!!!!!
I've just had a thought while reading mate that you have a little rubber gromet in the Spark plug socket which grabs hold of the spark plug. I think it may have been that!
Anyway, here are some pics and vid

And finally... Here's the start up
Pics taken on my Crackberry so sorry for poor quality.
Wey hey!!! Took the car for a little drive today, just up the road and back and everything is 90% fine lol
Did a diagnostic read out and came up with...
a map sensor error and,
a v-tec solenoid error...
The rad also has a slight leak from somewhere so will need replacing, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
Other than that all is well, suspension felt sweeeet! Have got a very slightly sticky accelerator cable though which is quite annoying! I'll post up some pics tomorrow of the new rad (thank's james!)
dat's some good time... but ma fren has a B18B with the B16a head and he's running 13.4 in a 1991 EF and another fren who has da same setup in an EK6 running 13.1.... both are budget road cars that perform wen needed on da track... but am loving da interior look or your EK more...
Lol l think that was a compliment! Cheers Ben, it's pretty much done now, done over 200 miles in it now with hardly any issues. I've still got to sort the accelerator out as it's ever so slightly sticking open, gonna try the butterfly valve off the old inlet and see if that cures it. Just got to have my seat rails welded up so my new fixed buckets will fit them and waiting for a full strut brace kit from the states to turn up then it'll be done (for now at least!) Still need to put some final pics up but the weather's been really crappy today so i've been downloading tunes most of the day instead haha!
