University life.

It can be a nightmare, When i started working parttime after leaving school alongside college used to pick up £500 odd a month and think quality i'm minted! :D. Mainly because i had no expenditure!! haha.

Yea I do know what you mean, I was lucky enough to get a fairly decent job when I left college whilst still living at home. Only reason i could afford my car!

Uni is friggin brilliant. The lack of money is pretty trying at times, especially close to the end of the terms when the student loan has dried up. A lot of uni though is having the right group of friends, if you don't have that then it's going to be a bit on the crappy side, especially if you have difficult flat mates.

Just enjoy it while you can, you'll have 30+ years of being able to piss about with the 9 but you're only young and in uni once. Work hard, play hard, pull, **** and drink like it's going out of fashion because you'll never have a chance again to do it this much!

My fiance is currantly in univercity we went on a couple of freshers week nights out and been up the campus a couple of times god knows how anyone gets any studying done haha as its like a 24-7 party . We happily have the option to come and go as we please got our own place :D

What are you doing at uni??

Dan

Im goin Risk Management in uni man! Glasgow Cali is the only uni in the UK that offers this course so feel pretty lucky to be in, so goin to give it my all! Hopefully by the end I will get myself a 9 :D

university life is good for:
getting absolutely sh@t faced everyday of the week
experimenting and experiencing new things and meeting new people
developing your independance if your a spoilt child
getting yourself up to your neck in debt
maybe get a good job out of it all
and maybe get yourself a few appointments at your local gum clinic! lol

APMSL this takes me back!!

back in college myself doing a masters in Computer aided engineering and product design! it is tough after a few years of working, but like above, its what you make of it and the crowd you hang out with!

i'm loving it to be honest!

ah ya cant beat college man good bit of fun and worth your while going back to try and up skill yourself as now days its getting that bit harder to get that number 1 job you wanted. Im currently in my 3rd year of Mechanical engineering and love it so all going well so far thank god ...

Im currently at uni!, it hard going trying to run my 9, im dreading insurance next year aswell, and student loans company are a load of ****!

I end up leaving all my work till the last minute, its good for girls though uni wise ever week is a different story ;)

I go to Edinburgh Napier and very post in this thread seems to be the exact opposite of my life there. I have never went out parting all night and I don't think many in my class do either, maybe it's got to do with me doing a course in Software Engineering, which is nothing like normal engineering.

On the plus side I just finished a years work placement and get to come home every night. So I'm not exactly a poor student after my placement.

Even though I don't get the full experience of staying in the halls etc. it is still a great experience and I'm sure you'll enjoy it and come out with a great job :D

coudnt agree more stephen, i have been the same in uni, i think its all hyped up nowadays student life being a doddle. Yeh if u sit around and dont do anything and just go out, but if u make a go of it and work hard the end result is what im looking to and see what job options i get at the end of it. As long as i can pay for the wedding and get back behind the wheel of an evo i will be happy :)

It all seems gd u guys saying about jobs at the end of ur courses but when does that really happen?? lets be honest ,u guys go 2 uni(maybe u f*ck about mayb u work hard )the end result is still basically the same ,no jobs available when u finish .Its a shame if u have worked hard but i just see uni as an excuse 2 f*ck about for a few years :p doesnt matter what qualification u have. I have 3 mates in this position all doing dif courses and they all say the same is just a gd excuse 2 shag and party. All be it i crashed with my mate for a few weeks a couple of years ago at his student flat and some amount of shaggin and partyin was goin on ,it is a gd laugh all the same (NOT TRYING TO OFFEND ANYONE GUYS!!) just my opinion ;)
