As some of you may know, i have recently broke my EK for parts.

One of those parts i had was maybe the rarest in a set of 4x100 staggered Volk SE37K's in excellent condition, the only known set of this fitment in the country as far as we know.

I had MAJOR interest in these wheels and sold them for a hell of a lot of money to a forum member on here who i will not name unless they want to be named at this moment in time.

They were picked up by courier (Yodel 48) on Friday afternoon, and tracker hasnt moved any since Friday evening when being dispatched from Glasgow depot towards the new owners local depot.

After a call today and a chat with interparcel (the agency i used to book the courier) they have been 'lost in the system' after never reaching the other depot before Tuesday.

Obviously i took out extra insurance in case of such events, but this is beyond the point. I personally believe the wheels have been clocked by driver and stolen.

Basically asking you guys if you are offered these wheels, or see these wheels for sale anywhere to please please PLEASE let me know ASAP!!!

If the wheels are found im sure i could offer a reward to the finder.

I am considering involving the police to investigate further, but i have no idea if they will be the slightest bit interested in pursuing it.

Info on the wheels

16" Volk SE37K's
7" wide approx et38 (2 off)
8" wide approx et25 (2 off)
Bronze finish
Wheels are pretty much perfect condition.

Like said, anything anybody sees or hears of about these wheels if they ever do see them or the likes, please get in touch with me.

And avoid Yodel for courier purposes.

Devastated is an understatement :(

Cheers

Steve

Sorry to hear this Steve, unfortunately this is a everyday occurance with yodel and the main reason my work changed to ups.

Hope you get it sorted

yes pedro they are fully insured to the value of the wheels thanfully.

Iv never had an issue with them before Dean, and sent a set of wheels with them before and many other smaller parts, but this has pretty much guaranteed id rather hand deliver myself than use that shower of shite again :(

What a nightmare. It's not like we're talking about a small parcel here. You'd have to be beyond stupid to loose a set of wheels. I think they've been stolen to personally...

Sorry to hear this!

Heard many bad reports about Yodel, never used them myself.

Insurance will mean you will be reimbursed but that’s besides the point…don’t understand how 4 wheels can be “lost”, not as if they are small.

Yodel says every thing, they are losing 1million pounds a year through missed collections and stolen goods. They used to be under the name of home delivery network and dhl. They are one of the worst courier services to date. Done the job for 4 years before I passed my hgv license. It's worth paying extra for services like ups and fed ex. City link are ok aswell, hope you get them back, such a shame to loose a rare clean example set of wheels, but it's quick money for them for Christmas. :(

When i worked at virgin wines, we used Yodel... we noticed some of the couriers were leaving parcels on the front drive of peoples houses, if people were away they remained there for up to a week thats if they were still there when the customers got home... we also investigated and it turned out some delivery drivers were leaving parcels at home, telling the system they had been delivered and were getting their wives to deliver the parcels in the evenings. AND 5 - 6 times a week we would hear of big cases of wine going missing., like £400 pounds worth of wine missing.... WE even had a customer send in his CCTV footage of the driver taking out 4 bottles of £90 champange and adding a note saying bottles damaged.

So to be honest.. I believe they were stolen.. Yodel are a nightmare, they employ people from agencies also, so we had over 7 - 8 different companies all working under the name of Yodel making it Very very hard to track down where something went missing...

so sorry to hear this mate, they are beautiful wheels..

However i will add that " lost in the system" is not always the case... we had wine cases turn up 3 months after getting this message, they had simply been loaded into the wrong part of the warehouse and "lost in the system" they were as they were not in their correct place to be tracked. Safe to say we got all of this back, so maybe this has happened.

OK I can honestly say the courier has stolen them. :(

Had the same thing happen with some thing I bought from Scotland to be delivered to me in Wales, was with TNT.... basically was having about £1,000's worth of Impreza GC8 OHLINS coilovers picked up for my old Subaru, paid for them, I paid some thing like £480 quid i think, guy was a fellow member of the Subaru forums...etc and is well know as he has some pretty impressive Subarus..... basically he left them in his porch with a note on the door saying to collect the parcel that it was OK to do so and the area was monitored by CCTV and plenty of good neighbours and such..... the courier went there collected the parcel IN A PLAIN WHITE VAN with a jacket on and a hood up just wearing a TNT reflective vest over his jacket...... he went in grabbed the parcel/coilovers put it in the van, and the parcel was never seen again.

TNT had no record of ANY of their drivers going to the house, had no record of the parcel or the coilovers......

They had to admit they had no idea what had happened. I got my money back off the chap, neither of us got any compensation even to this day, nor the money back for the delivery itself which was like £20 odd quid.

It's getting a VERY regular thing. And I'm serious about that too.

As I was a trader I was using couriers on a daily basis, I can tell you a fair few stories about them that's for sure. :(

Omg feel sorry for you and the customer mate they are IMO the nicest wheels RAYS do! Will be on the lookout for sure.

This is ****, ive shared it on facebook steve. if i see or hear anything il let u know.

they wont go far mate, as the only set in the country. if anyone is seen with these they will straight away be found out!!

This happened with my Turbonetics turbo kit, only the intercooler and downpipe turned up!

I am to believe drivers are getting keen on knowing whats in the parcels, so i never write what the item is on delivery notes anymore.

Hope these get found mate, ******* gutted.

Nuno.

karma is a total bit(h, would hate to be the person that knicked that post...

I would literally poo on their face like a German if I caught who stole them........

That is what I would do.

I really do hope they are found! But as I said above, there are a LOT of thieves working in couriers now.

They clearly dont know how rare these wheels are, as soon as they are up for sale alarm bells are going to go!!!!

Like i said on FB, cant trust anyone these days!!! :(

It was my mate that was waiting on delivery of these wheels

Can't believe how useless this company are. It's a real shame as I know how rare the wheels are.

hope you get it sorted mate,

yodell are fuking useless, we use them at work!!

There have been developments this morning. Positive at that.

Will update later this afternoon.

Looks like a forum witch hunt and a hefty slating on Facebook has done wonders. My post has more likes than the company do lol.
