My VTEC changer over point on my ek9 is currently at 6000rpm,
usually by default its set by about 5500 IIRC....

is there any way i can get the vtec change over a lil lower, without having to install a vtec controller, as how it stands im finding it more difficult staying in vtec whilst shifting....

Cheers,

Ryan.

no, for real typr rs its just over 6100 rpm, you will be fine just shift at 8900!
your thinking of vtis which vtec at 5500 up to 8400

ahh no problem, i've just gotta learn to drive the car correctly then :)
thanks for the speedy reply!

I think it's officially 6000rpm but the rev counter over-reads a bit. 5800rpm on ITR.

6200 limiter is 8400, change close to the limiter and will keep it in the zone

Spoon ECU or similar aftermarket ecu will lower vtec and raise limiter for more fun

My spoon ECU has vtec from 5000 to the limiter at 9100

9100 id not be going up that high too often, not unless the head is uprated

The v-tec change over on my Apexi pfc ecu is set at 4,600 rpm and the limiter is over 8,600. mapped by Artech.

if im correct the vtec cuts a 5000rpm then fully open at 6000rpm..correct me if im wrong
