Well, a few weeks back managed to spot a reasonably nice day and headed out for a spontaneous jaunt across the mountains in Wales with Dr Mikey from Rmotion

Drove for around 3 hours, so must have covered close to 100 miles in all...

First time the ek9 has been on the roads since October 2011!

Nice to see your enjoying the weather while its out mate :D
Cars looking great :nice:

I didn't know you were going that far-a-field Lee. I could have pointed out some cracking roads for you two.

Must admit I've never driven the devil's staircase. I'll give it a try next time I'm around there with a bit of time to spare.

I'd definitely take in the B4520 (Brecon Road) which is the old road between Brecon and Builth Wells. Sign posted Upper Chapel (I think) from Brecon. Superb road with very little traffic. Cracking views of the Black Moutains to the east and if you go South on it you get the whole panorama of the beacons spread out in front of you.

The drive up from port talbot through the Afan valley is pretty nice too. Go up past Cymer and you get a good blast up the Bwlch mountain road and from the top you can either drop down into Treorci or Maesycymer (going towards bridgend).

Rhigos mountain road from Hirwaun to Treorchy is also a good one.

The other ones I'd mention I imagine you probably already know about.

Nice pictures. Will be even better this weekend with the lighter evenings.

The B4560 is also a great road. Evo use it alot links Ebbw Vale to Llangynidr

where is your green ek?
