Just sold my car last weekend and im absolutely puzzled at what to get next, im after some suggestions from people about other cars they have had or driven (not just read about) and experiences pros cons etc with them

Needs to be a car i can use everyday and budget max 8k

Thanks

What car did ou have jordan??

How bout an ek9 lol or s2k, evo but all are expensive to run maybe a micra ;) haha

i would go for a b18 ek9 or maybe an s2k or sumthin cartney

i would say u could get a nice ev0 6 for that money but wouldnt recommend as an eveyrday car as u know the problems i had with my evo 9 lol

i havn't drivin one but id say a dc5 would be a good choice..
k20 power and the looks to match

or an ek9, cant really go wrong with an ek9 and handles alot better than a dc5 im led to believe. with a budget of 8k you could get a really mint ek9 with a few grand to spare:nerv:

What are you looking for? Turbo, high reving or Eco? 8k will get you a nice car and lots of choice.

Rx8
Sti
Dc5
S2000
Focus ST
VW Gti turbo
Vauxhall Vxr
accord type s be different

BMW 330 sport? very comfy and refined on long journeys but an absolute hoot to drive and that 3.0 litre 6 pot is creamy smooth and has plenty of shove. Makes a good noise as well. Another suggestion would be some kind of fast Subaru, lovely car to drive, pretty comfy although running costs are a bit much.

i had 2 evo's (6 and a 8) and couldn't fault either of them and they arent sore on fuel either for the power and awd as i used mine as a everyday car and it was grand, i'll definitely be getting another one... :))

it depends on what u want. but i have 8k spare to spend, i'd get a Accord Type-S. sat in my mates accord a few times, what a comfy car. it might not be as fast as the other honda, but it does pull.
and it looks good too.:)

Thanks for the input people

I quite like the rx8's but dont know alot about them apart from they use a good bit of oil, and they are prone to flooding. Anyone had one or got a comment about them?? :nice:

My mate at work had an RX8. Watch out for higher mileage versions and be careful in general, his wouldn't start when warm, the compression was all ver the place, turns out the rotor tips had warn and its common to happen on these, can cost you alot to fix, Mazda generally recommend replacing the engine. In general they do also use a fair bit of oil and can flood easily as you say.

You had a look at Mazda 3 MPS, I think they don't get recongised or look at as much as they should, 2.3 turbo 256bhp standard, LSD as standard. Generally quick cars and look quite nice.
