What sould I do??

Rite I've got the chance to buy my dream car, a ek9! Thing is I cant get insurance for a import. The car in Question is down as a 1.6 on the tax book.....easily insured under my own name. But what if they find out it's a type r and something happens??

if i was you i would just wait till you can insure it as a ek9 it is not worth lossing your dream car.

Yea ano think il just wait and save until janurary. I'll be 24 by then and have a good bit saved.

I dunno what would happen if they found out tbh .. Anyone know what the police or insurance could do if they find someone in this situation? Always wanted to know because I know a few people who have done this with other imports.

Dale.

just had in the number plate to insurance and get a quote on it aslong as the engine number is correct to the log book and chassis number etc is all correct then their wont be a problem as many cars they go on plates.

engine number should be b16b... chassis number will be 100- if it pre facelift 110 for facelift

Kinda. I think that 1955 is high at my age with 4 ncb. Then other won't quote because the cars imported

Have you tried any of the specialists like sky? Seems mega high to me at that age...

Try bell, i'm 23 and only costs me 590 a year fully comp with 5 years NCB

That is alot! I mean im 24 with 6 years NCB and im paying a hell of alot, £1800 this year as i got 2 bans in 2009(understandably)... Before the bans i was paying £800 with 6 points.

Have you got any points as it seems very excessive?

I've 3 points but that was for being on the mobile. It's quite hi like

greenlight should be able to sort you out. im 23 with 4ncb and all mods declared is £800 for a vti in N. ireland. so a ek9 shouldnt be much more.
