which clutch?

i recently replaced my clutch on my ek9, but it has a faulty pressure plate, blueprint want me to return the whole clutch so they an have a look at it, but...

im planning a track day soon and will the standard clutch be ok or will i just upgrade it? can anyone recommend a good one to use? not too pricey though £200 mark.

my car is mainly standard with just breathing mods and i use my car everyday for work. thanks.
 
Standard oem honda clutch will be perfect

stage 1 exedy's are NOT the same as an oem ITR clutch despite what you may read. oem one is BETTER

Same as me, been runing the exedy for good while, and i like it,

id say compare prices of oem and the stage 1 and decide from there mate!
 
ACT SP pressure plate with a 6 puck spring disk. Very close to OEM feel, twice as good in putting the power down from my B18C.
 
ACT has a variety of pressure plates they offer, 6 different ones IIRC, some feel close to stock while others have VERY heavy pedal pressure.

The problem with Exedy is they are not consistent, while some are fantastic others seem to chatter a lot. Not sure if this is the fault of the clutch or improper break in.

Oem should be fine for a light track day if the car is near standard, clutchmasters stage III is also very good but has a mandatory break in period due to it being kevlar.

yeap. ACT has a wide variety of pressure plates. I went with the sports one and am very satisfied with the bite and pedal feel. Pedal stiffness has increased maybe 5%, and doesn`t chatter at all except when in reverse. First 1500km`s showed some chattering, but after that is perfect. got it for 300€ including shipping from a US vendor.
