Im looking ito getting a set of coilovers for my ek9 and was wondering what to get. I was thinking of getting tein super streets but im unsure. Has anyone used these or can reccomend a good set to me?

Yes, they are ok, it all depends of your budget, whats your budget? :nerv:

like rvm says it depends on your budget, and use of the car, if it is a true street car then the tein SS will be perfect, if its a car your drive only sometimes, and often go to a road course you might be happier with monoflex.

Thanks guys, i use the car for just daily fast road use kind of things it wont be a track car. I have a budget of abt £1000 thing is i want to put good quality parts on it, would you notice much of a diffierence between the tein ss and the monoflex?

on the street no, on the track yes. get the SS it sounds to me like thats what you'd be most happy with. also monoflex is a bit stiffer so may not be as comfortable for everyday driving.

Thanks for the help guys think i might just go for the tein ss would it be worth gettin the edfc as well?

i like EDFC, its a very convenient thing, especially for a-n-a-l people like me who like to change settings often, but as dino suggested the PIC is an excellent choice as well but no edfc for them :(

lol.Stupid question maybe, but how do you lower the ss?. For example on the type flex, you can lower the car and still get full suspention travel as you have a pre load adjustment is that correct? So to lower the ride hight on the ss, do you have to compress the spring, resulting in a harder ride, or can this be dailed out with dampening settings?

Thanks

So to lower the ride hieght, the springs have to be compressed then?

type flex are great,i use them on my 9,i must put up pics of my car slammed on them:win:

Thanks for the help think i'll probably just go for the tein ss as the car will just be used on the road most f the time and not on the track

i would go with the tein ss i fitted them to my m8 haribo ek9 and they are awsum. u can have the wheels in the arches and set the shock to the middle setting and the comfort is the same as stock and if you are going racing just harding them up only takes 2 mins

When your all on about the tein super streets are you talking about the ones with the upper mounts?

why does it matter? the upper mounts are really just for looks, as long as your factory uppermounts are in good shape you should be fine.

i heard the bc racing coilovers are good and read a few good revews of them and the fairly cheap.
