Thinking of getting either a Exedy lightweigt flywheel (4,16 kg) or a Act Streetlite (5,7 kg)

It's for my EK9 - Street, spirited drive and occasional track use

I have been searching the forum, but I would like some more opinions

:thanks:

I recommend Carbonetic, or Fidenza (same company I think). I have heard of thie Exedy flywheel breaking. I don't know anyone who uses ACT?

I had fidanza flywheels in my previous cars and they had been very good

fidanza ftw :win: i have one fitted and there a good job

Have a Fidanza as well.
Good job.
If i had loads of money, i'd get a Toda one. Yum yum yum.

Thanks all :thanks:

But doesn't the driveabilty become bad with the fidanza. I mean it's 3,4 kg IIRC

Look at my rpm needle in this vid...

mines an ultra light TODA fwheel.

I have personally had great luck with nearly every flywheel company even the cheap $120 Chinese ones, as long as it's one piece cromoly or if it's aluminum replace it with every clutch job, that's what i do. And after using all different weights i finally settled for an 11.5lb I have also used 8lb and 14lb and 16 and 18lb. Rev drops is the most annoying part of a light flywheel for street use but it helps loads when heel toe rev matching on a track or canyon. It really depends on your preference and driving style. if you don't know how to heel toe or rev match then just keep the OEM unit honestly.

as for brand im not sure... i have a competition clutch one and im doing great. but my view, if you gonna go with lighter, go balls to the wall and get the 4kg one. it doesnt make much difference to the actual drivability as such - and it does help with acceleration.

I had an ACT 9lb which was perfect, regret selling it TBH. I would have no problems going even lighter when I come to replace it.
