Which intake sounds the loudest?

Im looking into buying an intake for my vti coupe when i get it but i also want the one which makes the vtec kick sound the loudest. iv heard the aem v2 is good for this? im not too keen on the js racing as it take up alot of room in the bay. anyone have any recommendations? thanks
 
well if your after noise :rolleyes: an early genuine Topfuel Powerchamber are the loudest.

TOP FUEL one of loudest i've heard u can really hear it suckin the air in makes vtec sound very good! i'd say only bad thing is heat soak!
 
v2 is sweet i have one sits nicely in the wheel arch so no heat soak+ you can get an injen cover for the filter to prevent it from getting damp all down to personal choice tho
 
just stick a cone filter on to the throttlew body sure

or better yet run no filter at all
 
Assuming that was a joke lee :) lol

I had a J's on my EK9 for a bit... that was mega loud and sounded amazing, real race tone. Selling it now though as i need the money for the bits i've spent out on... engine mounts, brakes etc :(

I'd say J's, can't say i've heard the top fuel tho.
 
Barring ITB's, I cant imagine an intake much louder than the J's. If the top fuel is louder, I'd love to hear it!!

Looks wise I don't think it touches the J's though...
 
I had a topfuel on my 9 and it sounded awesome, i think it sound better than a j's throatier if you know what i mean, think it slightly louder as well!

I modded my airbox now so i might sell the topfuel if anybody's interested!
 
Ive heard both the J's whale knob and Topfuel powerchamber on the same car and the Topfuel was fairly louder..
 
ur intake shouldn't be loud, ur exhaust should be :p

i can recommend the HKS suction kit

TRUST top fuel is loud its a nice deep sound too :nice: however i do agree the j's looks better!!
 
im thinkin the v2 as iv heard there very good and awesome looks/fitment. but at the moment i cant say as i ahvent got the car yet lol
 
Do you really only want NOISE? What about power & throttle response?

A lot of these aftermarket kits actually perform worse than stock in terms of power....:shocked:

As for where from...Ebay, Classifieds on the forums, VTEC-Direct, Funky-Power?
