Ok guys a little problem for you. I've got a set of wilwood 310's diamater disc. And I've got a set of pro race 1's NOT 1.2's as everyone said these wheels will deffo fit over these brakes. The wheels in question a 15 et35....., only problem is they DON'T fit. They hit on the top of the calliper and the bottom plus on the bleed nipples.
Is it a case of longer studs and a spaces??? Say 10mm or is there other issues here. Please help, I wanted these fitted by the wkend!!!!
Cheers.

You could buy a bunch of M12 washers just to test fit how much the wheel would need to be spaced to clear the brakes.
tbh though, if the caliper is hitting the 'barrel' of the wheel (rather than the spokes), they're probably not going to fit regardless.

running 300's with pro 1's without spacer here,is spacing it going to solve the problem?i had to space my buddyclub p1's out 15mm to get them over the same brakes due to the inside lip

Even if I buy smaller disc isn't going to help me is it because the bracket fixing is still the same right???
I could use washers James, we've stacks of them. Good idea.
The reason I went the sizes I did is because I was assured it would all fit :-/

Running pro race 1 on 300mm disc clearance all good for me. I would put longer wheel studs on and used a spacer or two p

Yeah but I'm running 310 discs. But the caliper is still in a fixed position so auk tearing the disc size won't help will it.

does the wheel itself taper inwards - where the caliper is in contact with it?

i have some 15" te37's et 27 which clear, and its quite close to where the wheel taper inwards

I dunno, I'll have a look. I can get the wheel on But the wheel then doesn't turn and my caliper is marked on the edge.
As much as I don't want to..... Could I grind a touch of the top and bottom. ??

Biggest iv seen the Pro Race 1's clear is a 306mm Wilwood Kit, and there had to be a very very small amount shaved from caliper.

Changing disc size would require you to get shorter brackets, so its an option to get smaller discs and different brackets.

Who assured you they would fit?

^you need smaller brackets to wrk with the smaller discs.

What part of the wheel is it fouling on? If its the back of the spoke then spacer will work, if its the inside of the wheel then your screwed!!

^^im screwed because its hitting the inside of my wheel not spokes, I have the means to sort spacers if it was hitting my spokes so that wasn't a problem.
Can I get different brackets then or can I adjust(machine) the others??
I've got the problem..... Now who's got answers lol. And no, new wheels are not an option.
Well Steve, I took advice off forums really!!! No one in particular!!!

You should be able to machine the current ones? If not then any decent machine shop could knock them out. You'll probably need to buy the discs first

i doubt it, the brackets arnt that big, and if he has the freaky kit they are made out of ally. I wouldnt want 2 holes drilled in close proximity to one another and still take the stress..

Your best bet would be to contact freakyparts himself, as im sure he knows the dimensions off the back of his hand. Rather than leaving it in the hands of some other machine company to potentially fluff things up.

If the kit is still new, can you not swap it for the 298 kit? If the caliper is hitting top and bottom then adjusting the bracket will likely not fix the issue. Im guessing the 298 kit uses a smaller caliper as other users are okay, grinding off the caliper is a last option, if you have other issues the kit is then damaged/marked and difficult to move on.

a would try this first before anything else

We could probably sort something out with another set of brackets for the 298mm kit and some replacement discs if you want.
Other option would be spacers if the wheel is tapered towards the middle of the inside rim. They're usually a little wider diameter in the centre of the rim

ok that would be good. i wanted to go as large as possible. i wont know really if i can space it out without getting the longer studs. as there a little short already and i dont have enough room. :-/
if i could move the bracket in 5mm and shave 5mm off the radius of the disc that would sort it as its not hitting the spokes.
