HIC were really good for a highly modified car with an engine change in the past. I know they are part of the Flux group but were way better.

I'm not paying £730 to insure my car thats up £100.

Its morally incorrect.

Who else can i insure with?

SKY are to expensive

Adrian flux is who i am with now.

Not many will touch such a modified car.

haha mines 155 a month id love a 730 quote lol

£730 for 1 year? or is that 6 months?

Thats exactly the same price I've been quoted by Adrian flux for my B20 (engine swap in 10 days :) ).

This is with all mods declared and 9 years NCB. I think it's gone up just over £100. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather not pay it but for such a modified car I feel it's not too bad.

The way I look at it is simple. I'll have probably spent near near to £5k in mods in less than 12 months so £100 I really can't argue over. Tried a few other places but this quote couldn't be bettered.:((

its only a £100 extra at the end of the day for a highly modified car..

...guess it pays to get older. £730 in the USA at my age would pay for both my civic and my truck.

Lol, you spent something like £7000 on the engine right? And you're worried about £100 to insure it for a year?

Good luck finding a better deal...

Just renewed and gone with adrian flux, like for like parts replacement, fully insured with every part declared and new engine included as should be in by end of the year, fully comp. Im 24, 6 years ncb and stung me 760

I'd love a quote that cheap. £1900 for a 10 month policy for me :/

Right

I think your all missing the point here.

26 years old, full no claims, no accidents no points second vehicle. And they want to insult a "law abiding" citizen by increasing my costs?

Fuels up
Tax is up
Cost of parts is up
Consumables by this I mean tyres is up
Now my insurance?

This country is f@cked and I refuse to pay more when I have done **** all wrong and got another yr's no claims.

It's already on restricted mileage I can do no more!

It's not the cost but the fecking principles behind it! This country and all it's rules/systems are a joke to the honest law abiding citizen.

One pist of and fed up

Mr Whiteman

to add insult to injury premiums will increase again after riots as companies pay out for damage

ijwhiteman, you have just answered your own question

Fuels up
Tax is up
Cost of parts is up
Consumables by this I mean tyres is up
Now my insurance?

if all these are up then in the event you have a crash etc then the price of the repair will also be up as a result :p

x2

time to man up ian

your very lucky to be getting a quote as good as that on such a highly modified car

every company in ireland wouldnt even quote you if you mention mods and if they do id expect it to be over 2k for someone your age

It will never get better for us consumers...only for big business.
Big business is a big machine, hard to stop or even change its direction.
