here is my 2 cent about having a K vs. b series motor. I have spent close to $10 g's on my k-swap, minor upgrades included. i have had my k-swap since 2007, daily driven with regular maintenance and services. still going strong and spanking most B-series, S2k, subaru, and evo's on the freeway. now my buddy's fully built B-series with modifications that totals close to $10 g's does the same thing.
the difference is that he is always tweaking and maintaining things on his motor to insure that it still runs strong because it is high maintenance, spending more to keep it strong, vs. my K-series where its mainly stock, the more stock it is, the less you need to worry about it.
