    Knife edged crank

No, they develop their own cranks when they need custom strokes, like in the stroker kit for NSX engines. But I wouldn't be suprised if they were produced by Honda.

    Knife edged crank

Even Toda knows how good Honda parts are, thats why they use an OEM B18C Type-R crank on the Stroker Kits for B16A

Blown engine!! (The importance of tunning) pics inside.

Thats bad, that setup will yield the same CR of a JDM B18C ITR engine, the only thing increasing the CR would be the BC Headgasket (if thinner).

    Limits of intake cam timing.

Lots of aftermarket cams have the IVC event at 50º ABDC (@1mm) itr cam IVC is at 45º ABDC, so in my opinion you won't need to retard intake over 5º (crank degrees) to have a "safe" DCR

    Limits of intake cam timing.

Retard intake cam to lower DCR is valid but 13º or even 10º is too much, dont forget that retarding intake valve close event will retard intake valve opening for the same duration, reducing overlap, and also move cam centerline (peak lift) for a point where piston is not anymore at it's peak...

Are USDM B18C5 Pistons the Same as JDM B18C Type-R

    They are different. P73-00 (JDM) : 5.96cc dome P73-A0 (USDM) : 3.64cc dome

    head bolts?

They have different length due to block height differences, I wouldn't take that risk

    head bolts?

    No.

B20/VTEC questions, plz neeed help asap.

I think you'll need eagle rods for LS, since B18A/B and B20 share the same crank and rods.

    Pic request - MeisterR Coilovers

Max high, I'm in the process of buying one set for my car but need to be sure that I can adjust height to have about two fingers gap between wheel (195/50/R15) and fender. Thanks for the photos.

    Pic request - MeisterR Coilovers

Hi mates I want to have an idea of what max ride height can be achieved with MeisterR Zeta-S coilovers on a civic. Anyone got pics? Thanks in advance.

Dont use C-speedracing compression calculator, it's wrong. Use this one: Honda B-Series Compression Calculator by ZealAutowerks

    B16A rebuild project

Well over that, would be around 11.1:1 CR not taking into account the difference in compression height. In the end, 12:1 will be the result, you will need a remap.

    B20Vtec setup question

Don't think the problem is the intake manifold, maybe you can use a slightly bigger TB but that's it, keep the manifold. Focus in increasing fuel delivery and re-tune.

    B20 VTEC rod bolt question

The unhability to high rev the B20 is not going to be corrected with any of that mods. B20 rod to stroke ratio is poor for high revving applications and trying to rev it like a b16 will lead to cylinder wall failure mainly if block is not sleeved. I'm not saying that engine X is better then Y...

    Compression ratio on a B16

OEM headgasket is around 0.7mm, so a drop in thickness of 0.3mm will have very small impact on cam timing. The rule for B-series is: For every 0.012'' of material removal, cam timing gets retarded by 1 crank degree (half degree measured at the cams)

OEM headgasket 1,2mm thick? is that a joke?

    Chipped Ecu woes

vtec oil pressure switch bypass........ is it really that simple? - Honda-Tech You just need to make a jump between A4 and D6, you can make this jump inside the ecu or in your conversion harness. The VTP can also be disabled in the ecu code, but will take you more time because a new chip needs...
