...Am i going to HATE it?

I have just bought what i think is a Cusco MZ LSD althought it looks very similair to the spoon Effort.

(ignore the Kaaz box)

Anyway...the point of my post is to get opinions of people who run plated Clunky noisy diffs on their Road/track cars

Am i going to be able to live with it for the occasions i do get to use the Diff properly? or am i going to regret fitting it and want my OEM Diff back in?

where the funk did you find one lol?

i think it should be mega. have you driven adams car?

There's a Mugen LSD going on eBay. I'm looking forwards to your review of an aftermarket diff' as I'm thinking of making a purchase of one too but I need to see if they are worth the £$£$£ :nice:

Weather you like it is down to you. All the plate diffs are pretty much the same, Cusco, Kaaz, Spoon etc. For me the LSD & brakes have been THE best mods to the car. The diff is clunky & tugs at the wheel - only for 20mins ish until the box warms up, especially noisy for the first 1k, some run aftermarket oils to make it friendly, I just use MTF3.
On track its absolutely awsome, ripping you out of the corners, if you track your car it is a mod you MUST have.

i have that exact same diff in my car:nice:
fitting it transformed my car so much, grip is amazing even on 10 year old standard suspension!

i'm using redline oil with redline friction additive, seems to work nice, only need a small amount of the additive in there.

Do you know what make it is for sure? :)

nope, came across it accidently in a second hand s80 box!

pretty sure it is a cusco, going by the pattern on the plates etc, regardless of the make it does its job well :nice:

they are worth every penny.i put the cusco oil in my one and eliminate 95% of the noise which didnt bother me enyway cos it just screams this car is special.

Coool ! :D Thanks guys

Im mostly looking forward to seeing the difference it makes on track :)

i just fitted cusco plated diff and it's already grabbed me around couple of corners:win:

@jordan will you empty you pm box:clap:

It will be rubbish and you will hate it Duns

Pop it back in the box and sent it up to Aberdeen :)

I am running a Mugen 2 way plate diff, it clunks like mad, but i got used to it. It has transformed the car a huge amount, some mates that have been in the car ask how can i put up with the clunk bang bang, this only happens at low speed, it's quite amusing when your parking or at the petrol station, people come up to you and say did you know your C.Vs knackered? But at higher speed it's awsome, love the feel and handling, just got to be careful otherwise it will bite you.

it will take a few days to get use too, i was like get this out i hate it, but i am used to it and it doesn't bother me now, it's worth it if you do regular trackdays:nice:
