A pisstake? Why? I was deadly serious.
Doesn't the ek9 have a seam welded monocoque chassis?
They arent a monocoque. and they're only seam welded around the rear boot area.

I'm extremely unsure a standard Civic Jordan with 158bhp could cause me any problems on a dry track/day.
Not trolling in the slightest or out to belittle a car i love (ek9) but people seem to think their B16 engines are unmatched by the Clios F4R, which you'd be a fool to think.
Ek9's have a monocoque chassis aswell dont they?
Well the clio 172 I raced could struggled to keep up
Will be having a go with my mates 182 and will video it.
With the extra welding I ment like the subframe has extra welds all the way along its seam. And the lower control arms appear to be fully welded shut on the civic?
I haven't seen this on any other car I've had.
the dc2 doesnt even hit 0-60 in 6 seconds, so how on earth they got 5.7 seconds i wouldnt know?

I'm not doubting you.
But unless you know the driver, spec of the car, tyres etc etc it will always be irrelevant.
I wasn't talking about the impending race, i was talking about this 172 that he 'left'.
What track are you racing your mate on in his 182?
Ask any real racer, doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile
Wont be racing him on a track will be a fast and furious style race of course. He doesn't go to track days. I will be at crail this year and maybe knockhill if my cars suspension is done. So I will also try get him to come to crail for a bash
nice vids there, whats your verdict on both the cars at cadwell?
the ek9 seems to be the car of choice from what i can see, mainly cause of the lsd
9 much better.
Road only? RS Clio all the way..
Just test drove a standard 182 with a rs192 exhaust system today and i thought to myself this would be a fantastic daily.
Enough low end poke to scoot around with good mpg and enough grunt when you floor it to put a smile on your face.
I also test drove a standard 197 and that for me has been closest thing to an ek9 i have found. Tight short 6 speed gearbox. Loves the revs and hard road suspension.
