It's an SiR mate, with B18C4 engine or something similar, not B18C-R anyway! Just incase you didn't realise :nice:

you able to elaberate on this.
is the b18c4 out of the civic vti-s sedan thing and the b18c-r is obviously type r spec so 197 hp but what is the b18c4 specs.

you see if i bought this car i wold have about £1500 to spare for mods so could drop in a b18cr

170 bhp. same engine from the mb6. iv heard you have to really work the engine to keep it in vtec between gear changes

Not sure about that.......

But anyway, with £1500 you have a number of options! The B18C4 is still a good engine. If I would you, I wouldn't bother with a B18C-R swap, as with £1500 you are way off!

Easy way to make more power is use EK9 pistons to bump the compression, and EK9 cams, can also go for a thin head gasket too if you want. Also upgrade to an EK9/DC2 intake manifold and throttle body + a new header, you will see good gains!

In my opinion, you would be better off keeping the B18C4 and modding it, save spending all your money and more on a B18CR. For the cost of the B18CR you could quite easily make the B18C4 produce more power than the stock B18CR.

A few breathing mods and i got another 10bhp out of my vti-s 5door, it's a good engine.

are they as rev happy as the other eningesx in that range though
i'm driving an ek4 at the mo with mods so my b16a2 has prob 170bhp but its rev happy, i don't wanna go for this and find i am dissapointed. i love the 8400rpm rev limit in my
b16a2 it sounds lush at that rpm.
also does this have bucket seats

These cars come with a JDM B18C. Why are people talking about the B18C 4 or have i missed something :secret:

They have a dual-stage intake manifold. Vtec changeover is 4400 and the intake runners open at 5800. So when your changing gear your not 'dropping' out of vtec its just the runners closing for a second. Nothing a 4.778 wont sort. Very good low down torque from these.

Type r intake manifolds as said above will not fit, but the Skunk 2 pro series intake are a great mod

Nice Car BTW, should sell easy at that price, people dont rate them well but standard v standard there quicker than a EK9 :) (dont shoot me please)

The man speaks truth he has one and has surprised quite a few people:drive: skunk 2 intake manifold should see theese only a few if no bhp away from teg r especially since theese sir tegs prob didnt get the arse driven out of em through their life

It's not a B18C-R engine......I'm not familiar with what engine exactly is in it, but it's certainly not B18C-R spec.

I assumed it will more likely be similar to the B18C4 UK engine, hence the discussion. Could very well be the same engine, as JDM and UK engine codes differ. Perfect example B18C-R, the JDM version is B18C, UK version is B18C6, both exactly the same, only difference is intake manifold and exhaust manifold.

do you have any interior pic i could be interested in a swap for my ek4 it needs tlc though like yours:nice:
