Aftermarket LSD - which oil?

Still didn't get any straight answer.

Will throw out some info for easier To imagine.

I have b20 eg9 with ek9 gearbox with 4.7FD and ATS 1.5way Carbon lsd and new synchros. I am using car just for track days and would like to put something in that won't destroy my synchros and LSD. As said, will change oil regulary on 2000-3000 km.

Before i had oem lsd and quaife atb lsd and have always used mtf 3 oil, but what i have read in these days, plated LSD's need other oils or some additives. But still i am not sure if that is true for Carbon plated LSD's or just for metal ones.

Anyway, what do u sugest for my aplication?

can you post a little in car vid to compare the noise?

I have KAAZ 1,5 way LSD. What about mixing torco rtf (or any other mtf) with let's say lsd oil? (kaaz or torco rgo or motul 80w90 full synthetic)? If they already have friction modifier, but there is too much of it, so mixing them both will give thinner oil and will have all the required additives?

i track my car often, sometimes even 4times a month, my config is s4c O/H by spoon with cusco RS 1 way. I use Royal Purple Max Gear 75-140 that has friction modifier in it. best oil i've ever used. consider to change it every 6000 km.

Just thought I'd revive an old thread here.

I need some oil for my gearbox, it has a Cusco plated diff and I'm pretty sure it just has Honda MTF in it at the moment. It's really clunky at low speeds.

Should I stick with the MTF or go down the aftermarket route?

In my experience with my kazz a proper LSD oil made the issue worse. More clunky and very snatchy.
I switched to mtf and it helped abit but still abit harsh(no PAS)
I've now started experimenting with slip modifiers in mtf3.
I've put 2% slip in the gear oil and it's pulled the edge off it for sure.

Thanks for the advice :) what modifier do you use?

Yeah pretty sure that's the one.

I used a redline friction modifier in mine, with a redline oil, can't remember the exact name of it, was a few years ago now

got it from opie oils, @oilman may be able to help
