Thought ill get my build up on here as there aint nothing to do at work haha

copied from another forum

uni is cancelled today, awake so i thought ill finally get a build up going

started off with a totally stock VSM ek3

the modding bug started pretty quick thanks to student loan :)
after a week or two i got some brand new 15" slipstreams in gunmetal with polished lip which im still using now haha

along the way i got my rears tinted and some civicsportsclub stickers
then i got myself a mugen style fibreglass front lip

ek9 style grill and a spoon style cf spoiler which sits pretty well

after that i DIY EK9'd my front headlights with my friend kwai

rolling too much on 4x4 mode, i needed it lowered and got some eibach -40mm springs as coilovers was not an option due to funds

little bits and bobs next included a simota cf style induction kit, spoon socks,spoon duracon gearknob, a raizin voltage stabilizer and type r style rear lip

and this is how it sat for a while with a legalis r backbox, i miss it so much, sounded so nice, perfect for normal driving with a nice grunt and really opened up WOT

gathered some more monies and i wanted some bucket seats, didnt come across any recaros for a while and some brand new edenz came up so i bought the pair brand new, good seats which had super strong bolsters, sold them on with bolster as they were when i bought them

decided it was time for a full system as i felt it made a difference when compared to kwai's full system on his ek3, so got a ebay 421 ss mani, heatwrapped it, decat and a buddyclub spec 3 came up

made a noticable gain but was stupidly loud without the bung as it was straight throught with the mid silencer cut out as it split open, got used to it after a while though

then after some jdm front and rear plates with a tiliter it came to a holt for a while again

stopped spending for a while as i didnt know where i wanted to go with it and have always wanted some red recaro's and managed to get a set from an ek9 with mats from chona

wanted to lower the car more so decided to get some coilovers, and picked up some skunk 2 LCA's whilst i was on holiday out in canada
was on a budget so D2's from trls it was
fitted them and stayed like this for a long long time before deciding i wanted more power

started sourcing parts that i needed such as loom and conversion harness then on the way to see the GF on the m5 some woman rear ended me :(

i knew it was defo write off, as i had already paid morf for it, i gave him a call as i werent sure it i wanted the engine anymore and as he handt taken the engine out yet, he offered me the car as a rolling shell for 500 and at that moment i was sooooo poor and i needed a means of transport, i took the facelift off him too! along with the EM Z bars and CTR clocks- which is yet to be fitted!

and got an oem ek9 manifold to bolt onto with a jdm cat that morf provided

needed shocks and exhaust system both of which i needed off my ek3 as i had no monies for any other so the long wait began with constantly calling the insurance company and the third party and finally bought back the ek3 and towed down my b20 and arrived like this

and test fitted jules tri y which was going to be for his own b20 before he decided to go h2b route

then started to strip the ek3 and bolt onto the b20 with my friend jules on his driveway

then it was complete and finally on the road using stock itr b pipe and oem ek3 backbox, cant remember why i didnt have the buddyclub on yet

the car was limiting at 5500 in limp mode and no vtec which turned out to be code 22, vtec oil pressure due to using a obd1 ecu on and obd2b car- sorted and vtec 8200 yo!

since the b20, ek9 carpet have been put in with a broadway mirror

waiting to go on is my 5lug setup with legend calipers with ek9 rims
got some ukdm 15" dc2 rims too but one needs to be repaired and will most likely be resprayed in a bright blue or something when funds allow

cf bonnet will be put on when i feel like it along with some HID's when the weather permits

and car is currently in bodyshop for an outer respray which should be out by 2morrow

for when it comes out its got this waiting to go on

front grill and foglight surrounds are back to black, front and rear jdm plates are on,oem ek9 grill on and finally got bung cut out of my spec3!

time for a little update i think
a fair few bits have been done since the last update

jumped on a groupbuy with tegiwa for the seibon CF stuff a while back and got myself a bonnet

here are the pics, also stuck on some jazz washer jets at the same time

rear plastics are also out now and interior will be sprayed in due time, ill get a pic when i do get it sprayed
 
also decided now instead on spending monies on constantly moddin the car, im going to use it as much as i can with as much tracking as possible
most money will be spent in that area from now on

Still alot to do but have gathered some parts at home waiting to be put on, will update again next week

also rust has appeared in the rear arches and paint is flakin off from front bumper due to previous paint job being shabby so am saving for another full respray now :(
 
Just read through your whole build up agian dude, forgot what basic routes it had come from, Top work, stunning EK you have yourself now love the colour scheme :nice: !!

iirc you had a doors shut re-spray last time.... you going all out this time getting it all done???

Also changed the bolts on my buddyclub upper camber arms whilst i was doing everything due to the recent thread of them all failing.
Although the bolts on mine were still solid and looked perfectly fine, i had ordered some of these already:
M6 x 20 HIGH TENSILE GRADE 12.9 ALLEN CAP BOLTS ZINC 20 on eBay (end time 30-Apr-10 13:22:27 BST)

little other bits and bobs i done include taking off the lower torque mounts on the chassis legs and the aircon bracket
